What a weekend for our Junior Section — with plenty of rugby, development and some fantastic performances across the age groups! 👏

⭐️ A FIRST FOR OUR U16 BOYS! ⭐️

A huge moment for the club as our U16 Boys kicked off their 2026/27 season in style away to Deeside — playing their first-ever match in the National Leagues! 🏉🔥

This is a brilliant milestone for the team and our Junior Section, and a reflection of all the hard work put in by the players, coaches and everyone involved in their development.

👏 Well done, boys — what a way to start this new chapter!

Elsewhere across the club…

🏉 U13 Boys played their first match on a full-size pitch, welcoming Marr for an absolute cracker! Honours finished even at 31–31, with plenty of skill, determination and endeavour on show. Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to Marr for visiting and providing such a tough test.

💪 P7 were hard at work in training, focusing on tackle and ruck height and continuing to build those important skills.

🏉 U12s were on the road away to Ayr.

🌟 P1s & Cubs enjoyed another brilliant morning of rugby, with excellent feedback from all the coaches. Well done to our youngest players!

Our U13 boys had their first match today against Marr. Honours even at 31-31. A great match with lots of skills and endeavour on show. Well done to all involved and thanks to Marr to visiting and providing a tough test.

Calum & Liam from last years U18’s making competitive debuts for 1st XV today and Kieran & Connor from last years U18’s making competitive debuts for 2nd XV today. Well done lads. Just the beginning.

Great day. And great intro to National Leagues. Boys held their own for 60 mins with 7 points in it at half time .

Injuries and positional challenges. we ran out of steam 56-20 final score. (However that score line definitely doesn’t really represent the actual game)

This is a huge step forward for Cambuslang RFC and a real recognition of the incredible work that has gone into developing our Junior Section.

To our players, coaches and committee — this moment is a reflection of your hard work, commitment and belief in what this club can achieve. 👏

And, of course, there’s even more to celebrate as our Women’s team take to the pitch for their first ever game — another landmark moment in the history of our club. 💙
