Congrats to Bamboo and Tash for their mega performances at Small Boats Regatta this week! Wednesday saw them win the Women's Lowe Double Sculls with Bamboo also taking the win in the Fairbairn Junior Sculls 2 days earlier!!!

NCBC has started the term as we mean to go on 🥳

it’s been a hot minute hasn’t it… 
with Bumps and BCD being nearly 2 months ago, we are - fashionably late as always - BACK, with the hot NCBC content you thought you’d never see (if you haven’t forgotten about us already that is xoxo) 
 
BUMPS WAS A BLAST 
rawr-worthy results from every crew!! 🫦 with W1 staying in the top 12 of the river, and W2 and W3 all securing one bump or more! (for those of you used to super blading and/or to whom this may not seem to be that spectacular a performance, pls remember we are recovering spoon addicts 🥄 🙏) 
 
special shout-out to Newnham’s first-ever full ginger crew!! W2 painted the town red(head), taking the iconic double-plaited Newnham trademark look to a whole new fiery level 🔥🔥 Wendy sponsorship pending 👩🏻‍🦰🍟⏳ (full consent to being submitted to orange hair dye was more or less obtained beforehand, no welfare worries here)

true to our club’s healthqueen lifestyle of staying well hydrated (i.e. proseccodrated), our termly Boat Club Dinner was yet another highlight to remember (or try to remember, depending on aforementioned hydration levels...) 💦🍾

starting off strong, our sexy W3 - come watch them whizz past wednesday to friday at 16:00, and saturday at 14:00

✨good things come to those who wait✨ - e.g. ncbc’s regatta race recaps and hot head highlights 🥵🔥🫦

a few weeks ago (insta posts prompt and punctual as always xoxo), our 1sts and 2nds took on 99s Regatta, with a fabuloussss finish from our W2, who made it all the way to the finals and finished a very very close 2nd right after Medwards W1 (love our sexy speedy Oc*****sy queens 💋)

last weekend, the same crews took up the Xpress head challenge and did, indeed, serve some speedy head, with W2 putting down some hella hench watts, finishing in 2nd place just 2 seconds off medwards W1 (got a feeling of déjà-vu? we do too 💅 clearly just cant keep ourselves away from you 🫶🫶)
aaaand phenomenal performance from out our 1st IV who, true to their name, finished 1st of their div - ncbc head game popping off as per💪💪

maybeee slightly taking the ✨better late than never✨ mentality to a whole new level here, but LENT BCD (9 weeks ago…) WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!! so so lovely to see so many lovely faces again, beautifully and artistically captured on film by (we missed you queen xoxo)  
 
thanks to everyone who made the night an absolute delight 🥂stay hypeddd for our incoming easter content 🐣🔥

following some riveting river action, final results are in aaaaand…⁣

- our First VIII secured a solid score of +2, finishing 5th overall on the river 🫦⁣
⁣
- our Sexy Seconds followed suit with 2 banging bumps as well, now featuring as the 2nd fastest W2 on the Cam!! (jesus, we’re coming for you xoxo 😘)⁣

- the Thirds provided us with a fantastic final plot twist as they bumped ARU on the last day 💥 ⁣

- a combo crew of our Fourth VIII and BAME squad took on Talbott Cup this Sunday, just cuz there is no such thing as too much rowing in life 🚣♾️ ⁣

overall, safe to say the club ATE (and not with spoons this time 🥄❌🚫🔥) THANKS TO ALL OUR FAVORITE FANS - WE COULDN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU 🫶🫶
