We are devastated to share the news of the passing of our oldest (in dog years) league member, Pepper. Pepper was rescued from Woodgreen Pets Charity after the charity got in contact with the league by Mrs and Mr Sweetness & Fight Allison Holloway James Edward Holloway in 2019, and she has been a core member of the league ever since.
We reckon she clocked up more committee hours than most of us, and she was a staple of every Rollerbillies after-party over the last seven years. We’re sure lots of you met her at the The Blue Moon or at our various events, so please send some love their way and share your best memories of her below.
She was, and will always be, the bestest girl.

At a loose end next bank holiday? We are opening up our usual Sunday scrim to all our friends and neighbours on Sunday 30th August! We will be hosting at our home track at Kelsey Kerridge sports centre in central Cambridge.
The scrim is open to everyone. We will be running 4 20 minute quarters, and if numbers are high enough we can run rookie and advanced lines. We will also ask people to offer to ref/officiate one quarter of the scrim too. The scrim is £5 or whatever you can offer to pay. Anyone who wants to referee or officiate is welcome to join for free!
This will be a very relaxed and fun scrim. Arrival from 1.45pm to kit up outside the hall.

This week the EHRC’s guidance came in to force, impacting the access trans+ people have to public spaces such as toilets and changing rooms.
Cambridge Rollerbillies want to make it very clear that we will not be following the guidance. We proudly stand with our trans teammates and friends and continue to be a safe space for all.
The EHRC guidance has been labelled ‘scientifically illiterate’ and ‘biologically nonsensical’ by the BMA. It is a political move which does nothing to improve the safety of women whilst scapegoating some of the most vulnerable members of our society; fuelling prejudice and making the lives of trans people harder.
We believe community is made stronger by inclusion and diversity.
Trans people belong in sport.
Trans people belong at the Rollerbillies.

Final score from our final 5NRD T4WE game of the season! It's been a big year for our first ever Punts season and we are proud of how hard our rookies, development and established b teamers have worked. Time to rest, recoup, and get ready for next season!
Thanks again to Nottingham Roller Derby for hosting and to all the volunteers and officials 💚💚
