Volleyball coach wanted for Rhinos Volleyball Club in Cambridge! 🏐🏐🏐
Rhinos is a very dynamic and motivated volleyball club and we are currently looking for an enthusiastic coach to help transition our women team from a group full of potential to one of the most competitive teams in the region at county and possibly higher level. Please get in touch with [email protected] if you are interested in the role or know someone who might be!
More details:
Our club has members of all ages (18+) and abilities and this past indoor season we had 13 women ranging from beginners to more advanced players with many years of experience playing in Italy, Bulgaria or Greece. During our next season, from September 2017 to May 2018, we expect the women’s team to reach 18 players following a competitive selection process for new players in September.
The women’s coach will be assessing and improving the potential of the squad and setting appropriate performance targets for the year. The candidate will be available to plan, lead and execute target-driven training sessions on Tuesday evenings (8:25-10:25pm) and on alternate Sunday afternoons (4-6 pm) at the Leys School sport centre, Cambridge. Attendance to all matches and tournaments is not essential but we hope to find a person who can be there for the team most of the time if possible. The chosen coach will be given competitive remuneration based on the experience and the number of training session/match attended.
The Rhinos women team has been competing at local and regional level and during the next indoor season the squad will also compete at national level for the first time. The local women’s league will involve up to 10 matches in or around Cambridge and the regional tournament which the Rhinos women participate in takes place in Norwich once a month. The team’s first match in the Volleyball England National Cup will be in October 2017 and the rest of the national cup schedule is to be confirmed.
