Our opening fixture of the 26/27 JPL cup qualifiers saw us take on local rivals Cambridge United at home. Our girls started nervously, but soon found their rhythm coming back from going 1-0 down in the first quarter to scoring 5 unanswered goals before United got a consolation goal with only moments left on the clock. An opening weekend win, and 3 points in the cup league table. ⚫️⚪⚽

We successfully navigated our inaugural group cup match and second 9v9 game against a JPL team, garnering valuable insights into areas for improvement. Notably, we identified players requiring fitness enhancements and acknowledged our strengths outweigh our weaknesses. Moving forward, we will refine our defensive strategy, enhance communication, and develop tactical awareness. Additionally, we will focus on perfecting set pieces, marking, and team shape to yield more goals and concede fewer. With each match, we move closer to securing a stable position in the league
