We are incredibly excited to welcome Anna Kobolva for a very special Masterclass.

A prestigious Russian ballet teacher and former Bolshoi Theatre ballerina, Anna danced with the Bolshoi Theatre from 2001–2015, performing leading roles across the company’s classical and contemporary repertoire, including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Pharaoh’s Daughter, Queen of Spades and works by Balanchine, Grigorovich and Ratmansky. She also toured internationally with the Bolshoi, performing at renowned venues including the Royal Opera House in London, Opéra Garnier in Paris and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Since 2015, Anna has been a teacher at the Bolshoi Academy in Brazil, and has been honoured with the title Teacher of the Year in 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2023. She holds a Diploma in Pedagogy and Choreography and has created her own teacher training course based on the Vaganova method.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from an exceptional artist and teacher with a wealth of professional experience at one of the world’s most renowned ballet companies.

Watching Sophie grow in confidence, dedication and artistry has been such a privilege, and seeing her hard work rewarded with this incredible opportunity fills us with so much pride.

The Trinity Laban Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is an intensive, government-supported pre-vocational training programme for exceptionally talented young dancers aged 12–17. As part of a national network of dance training hubs, it provides outstanding technical and creative training, preparing students for professional vocational training and future careers in the dance industry.

Sophie, we know this is only the beginning of an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to watch you continue to shine. Keep believing in yourself and chasing your dreams, we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way ✨❤️
