Milton Outdoor Bowls Club - Cambs

The run in begins. With results going our way so far this week in the 1st division of the Cambridge & District Bowls League, we find ourselves top of the league with 3 matches left. Win all 3, we will be champions 🏆 for the first time ever. Tonight, we entertain Balsham at 6pm. Please feel free to come down to the green & show your support. Up the MOBC !!

Tonight at MOBC, it’s the Big Clash. The top 2 teams; Milton & Girton play in a vital Cambridge & District Division 1 match. Please come along and give your support. It’s a 6.30pm start and will last about 2 hours. 24 bowlers will be on display.

Ooohh, what’s happening ? Cambridge & District Bowls League Div 1. Milton, played 3, won 3. (6-1,5-2,6-1). Well done to the players/team & best of luck next Tuesday (home) v Fenstanton 6.30pm. All support from the sidelines welcome.

Great start to the season for Milton Bowls Club in the first week of the season. Wins for the CD1 team (6-1) v Chesterton, CD4 team (5-2) v Gt Shelford, BH OPEN team (6-0) v Northstowe & BH Men’s team (6-0) v Girton. Well done to all the players & thanks for everyone who came to watch & support. It certainly makes a difference.

The 2026 summer bowls season starts this week. Milton have a CD1 home game v local rivals Chesterton this Thursday at 6pm. Please feel free to come & support. Could it be the year that Milton finally win division 1. The mighty Jim Daniels has been dropped for the first match which shows the strength & depth we have in the squad this season.

At the Milton Bowls Club AGM last week, it was voted that we WILL become an affiliated club from next season.
So, if there are any bowlers out there who want to ‘join our’ or ‘change to our’ club for the 2026 outdoor season, please let me know. We have teams in the CD1, CD4, E&D, BH Men, BH Open 1 & BH Open 2.
And of course you could enter all competitions, NOW INCLUDING COUNTY, from our club.

A most enjoyable day was had at MOBC yesterday. A great turnout of spectators & lovely sunny ☀️ weather. The matches were played in great spirit & the winners were:

Two Wood Singles: Steve (beat Neil) 15-11

Open Singles: Steve (beat Neil) 21-9.

Tomorrow (Monday) is the annual MOBC finals day. It’s sure to be sunny ☀️ & the action starts at 12.30pm and will continue through the afternoon until about 6.30pm. There will be a raffle & other activities. See below. Feel free to come along and watch. First 300 spectators to arrive avoid a £20 entry fee.
