What is the foundations class...

The foundations class covers an introduction to all the ballroom & latin dances in a fun, relaxed and informative environment.

Our patient foundations teacher, Sheena has a calm and patient approach to teaching our beginner dancers to ensure they come away with strong foundations.

Our foundations class runs on a Thursday 7:30pm-8:30pm at Gt Abington Primary School. Term starts on 10th September for 7 weeks.

Did you know that you don't have to rush off and buy dance shoes for first lesson!

Whilst you get used to dancing we recommend wearing a shoe with a smooth sole rather than a rubber sole as this can sometimes stick to the floor and you want to glide. Ladies can wear a heel if you are comfortable in heels but we recommend no higher than 2.5 inches and no sling backs or wedges.

Once you have attended your first course usually 6 weeks and if you are keen to keep going then we can advise you on what dance shoes to buy!

Our priority in every class is to encourage our dancers, help you feel comfortable and confident, and most importantly... make sure you enjoy your time on the dance floor!

Whether you're completely new to Dancing, returning after years away or looking to build on what you already know, there's no expectation to be perfect.

We'll teach you, encourage you, challenge you when ready and celebrate your progress along the way.

Because at the end of the day, we're here because we love to dance - and we want you to love it too!!

📢Calling all beginner dancers!!

If you have little to no prior experience of ballroom & latin then this is the class for you! Our patient teacher Sheena will have you moving around the floor before you know it!

The biggest thing we hear here is "I have two left feet!" We are here to bust that myth and prove that everyone can in fact dance!!

Week 1 we start with the social (rhythm) foxtrot and in just 1 lesson you and your partner will be able to dance your way around with this lovely little social dance! 💃🕺
