Migrant care workers came to the UK when the care sector desperately needed them. They worked hard. They paid their taxes. They built their lives here. They did everything that was asked of them. Now the government wants to change the rules.

For months, UNISON members have lobbied MPs and made the case for fairness. But Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood are still pressing ahead.

Benefits are a vital lifeline for many, especially so if you are a disabled person. Unison Cambridgeshire is asking all our supporters to sign this vital petition, and stop the cruel cuts to those who need it most.

Our international workforce contribute to the economy in more ways than tax, than the 7th richest man in the UK. He lives in Monaco and pays nothing to support vital services such as the NHS or care to the elderly.

Unison Cambridgeshire Branch announce that the candidate the Branch committee nominated has duly been elected as General Secretary of Unison. This is a great result for members. Thank you to all who voted and took part.

The incredible work Camborne Teaching Assistant’s was marked by a Stars in our Schools event hosted by Cambridgeshire County Branch. Thanks to all who took part and the Principle who gave an appreciative speech to her support staff. Congratulations 🎉
