We missed this 2 weeks ago with so much tennis going on this summer - the Leaders surpassed 5,000 volunteer hours! Congrats and DIOLCH! Since June 2021, we’ve had 81 Leaders through the Project and all have positively contributed to our Club while growing personally, professionally and as a team. 🎾👥🌟🤩👏

A great final summer holiday team session with our Leaders at last night. The rain kept us inside but they had fun with ‘This or That’, reflected on highlights and challenges of the summer, looked ahead to the new term and made more progress with their tennis ball upcycling project. 🎾👥⚖️💭😃

Earlier this week we welcomed Rebecca from Tennis Wales to to chat all things competitions as we use the LTA - Tennis For Britain system to record our online. They also discussed the upcoming Champion of Champions event and us hosting more First Hit Challenge events in 2027. 🎾🤝📝

You wouldn’t have guessed it from this pic taken at the start of tonight’s Adult Team session, but we had to abandon after 50 minutes as torrential rain came in at ! But despite the early finish, there was some good work by players on two different serve and poach plays. 👫✌️💫☔️😔

An exciting new opportunity from Tennis Wales as they launch their new Welsh National Leader Scheme! 🎾🏴👥🛣️🚀
We’re very proud that some Leaders took part in a focus group with Zoe, Workforce Development Manager, back in May which has influenced this new scheme. And we hope that our existing (and future) Senior Leaders will get involved to grow their impact beyond the Club and in various other areas within tennis, and continue to access more new and valuable experiences through their volunteering. 💬📝🕸️📈🤝

To mark World Youth Day, Tennis Wales is launching the Welsh National Leader Scheme an exciting new opportunity for young people who are already making a difference through tennis in their club, school, park, or local community.
The scheme will bring together existing tennis leaders from across Wales, creating a national network that offers access to new experiences, valuable connections, and opportunities beyond their local venue.
