Awesome matches yesterday for our U11s and a big thank you to Rhymney for hosting the friendly where we also played Tredegar and Hopkinstown.

The girls wasted no time in getting back to where they left off. Excellent defending and calm precise passing through out all of their games. When attacking the girls were confident and made the most of their chances. We are super proud of the effort and attitude they turned up with, great to see them back in action 💛.

A special shout out to Gracie-May who made her debut. Gracie-May got stuck right in with no hesitation. Her passing was brilliant and she made some important blocks too. We look forward to seeing Gracie-May don the mighty yellow jersey again 💪.

Player of the match goes to Lacie-Leigh (BD) she was brilliant Infront of goal but best of all was her relentless energy and pressure to win the ball back up in the oppositions half. Well done BD 🏆

Huge congratulations to Kay, Amy, Clair and Sarah on their fantastic achievement of being selected for the Cymru Amdani Hi squad! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

They will represent Wales at the upcoming Masters tournament in Briton Ferry on August 14th & 15th – an incredible honour and thoroughly deserved recognition of their hard work and commitment💪🏼

Fantastic games from our U11's on Sunday against mighty opposition: Red Lions Gold, Llantwit Fardre and Baili Glas.

The passing from back to front was some of the best we've seen from these girls and it's really starting to click! We made some lovely plays. They should all be massively proud for the team work and confidence they displayed.

Darcie, Isla and Lily were superb at the back. They made some super important tackles and kept calm when passing the ball out. Lily also impressed in goals making some brave, confident saves!

Lacie-Leigh and Bonnie showed some super ball control in the middle of the pitch. We saw a few of their efforts just narrowly miss but they put themselves in the right position to make those chances happen. Lacie with a lovely finish in the first game ⚽.

Eleri, Immie and Lottie ran wild in the midfield. Im not sure how they had the energy to run like that in this heat. They weren't scared to challenge for the ball either. Well done girls. Goal for Immie right out of the blocks for the last game ⚽.

Si Gi was brilliant in goal and also came out into midfield for the second game. She was a pest and wouldn't let the opposition near the ball. Super Si Gi at it again 💪

Our player of the match goes to Sophie. Considering she hasn't had many games with us yet, Sophie really looked comfortable. She constantly challenged for the ball, found a boat load of passes and even showed us some of that amazing ball control she has. Well done Sophie!

Massive thank you to all the parents who helped assemble and dismantle the pitches so quickly it was like an episode of 60 minute makeover 💛 😂.

Under 10s what a great morning in sunny Ponty were the girls battled through the heat and come away with some impresssive results .

Our defenders were rock solid not letting anything pass, there passing from the back was also impressive setting up our attacks.
Our midfield ran the their show, with helping defenders out and strikers, then slick passing too get us into positions too score .
Our strikers were nuisances who didn’t get in the goals but never gave up giving our midfield options.

Goals scorers were Mari ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️, Eirys ⚽️⚽️, Eila ⚽️.

Player of the match 🏆 was Evie for her battling when didn’t have the ball, setting her team mates up .

Big shout out to Mari (Masseratti) who played her last game for the Castle she will be a big miss on and off the pitch and the girls will miss her massively. Good luck with your football journey 💛

With more players this week the girls adapted quick with the time they had on the pitch to give it their all for the team with good link up play and defending to a high standard.
