🥊 CAERPHILLY BOXING CLUB — BACK TO TRAINING 1ST SEPTEMBER 🥊

I hope everyone has had a great summer break and has enjoyed some well-deserved time away from the gym. I’d like to thank you all for your continued support and commitment to the club.

It’s now time to get back to training, and Caerphilly Boxing Club will reopen on Tuesday, 1st September. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone back and getting the hard work started again.

Before we return, please take note of the following:

Carded Boxers:
All carded boxers will need to ensure their Sport 80 registration is renewed and up to date. I am also currently in the process of arranging a doctor to carry out the required new medicals for our carded boxers. I will provide further details as soon as the arrangements are confirmed.

Non-Carded Boxers:
All non-carded boxers will need to make sure they are registered on Sport 80.

I appreciate everyone getting these things sorted as soon as possible. It helps us keep everything organised and ensures that we can continue providing a safe, professional and well-run boxing environment for everyone at the club.

Happy 16th Birthday, Oliver! 🎉🥊

It only feels like yesterday you walked into Caerphilly Boxing Club as a quiet, shy 12-year-old who was happy to blend into the background. Fast forward four years, and you’ve become the star of the show.

You’ve been our most active fighter, and no matter what’s asked of you, we can always count on you to turn up, whether it’s for a fight or for a laugh. Your fantastic personality, great banter, and the respect and politeness you show to everyone make you a credit to yourself, your family, and the club.

It’s been an absolute pleasure watching you grow, not just as a boxer but as a young man. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved, and we know this is only the beginning.

Have an amazing 16th birthday, Ollie. Keep working hard, keep smiling, and keep being you. The future is yours! 🥊💙

Today we had young Harry and young Duffy boxing at the Heart of the Dragons Box Cup Finals.

First up was young Harry, who put in a solid performance and gained some valuable experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t his day, and he lost on a unanimous decision. Plenty to build on, and he’ll be back stronger. 👏🥊

Next into the ring was young Duffy, who put on a superb performance from start to finish, showing skill, composure, and determination to secure a unanimous decision victory! 🥇🔥

Well done to both lads for representing the club with pride. Every time they step through the ropes they’re learning and improving, and we’re proud of them both. Onwards and upwards! 👊🥊

Today we travelled down to Swansea with young Noel, who was boxing in the semi-finals of the Heart of the Dragons Box Cup. 🥊

The first round was toe-to-toe, with both lads standing their ground and throwing plenty of punches. The second and third rounds became much more technical, with some great boxing on display.

Unfortunately, after three hard-fought rounds, Noel lost by unanimous decision. We’re incredibly proud of his effort, heart, and determination, he gave it everything and represented the club brilliantly. 💙

Tomorrow, it’s back to business as we have his brother Harry and young Duffy both boxing in the finals. Best of luck to both lads, we’re all behind you! 👊🥊

🥊 Summer Holidays Have Started! ☀️

That’s it for another brilliant season, Caerphilly Boxing Club is now closed for the summer holidays.

We just want to say a massive well done to every single boxer who has walked through our doors this season. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment have been outstanding, and the fantastic results we’ve achieved together speak for themselves. We couldn’t be prouder of you all.

Remember, champions are made when nobody’s watching. 💪 Don’t let the holidays stop your progress. Keep active, get your runs in, do your shadowboxing, hit the bag or pads if you can, and stay fit and focused. Every little bit of work you put in now will make a difference when we return.

Enjoy your summer, have fun, stay safe, and we’ll see you all back in a few weeks, refreshed, motivated, and ready to work even harder.

Hi everyone! 👋
Just a quick update to let you know that Caerphilly Boxing Club will be back open today, and hopefully we’ll be open for the rest of the week too.
This will be our last full week before we close for the summer holidays, so it’d be great to see as many of you as possible before the break.

Unfortunately, due to the high temperature in the gym, Caerphilly Boxing Club will be closed again tonight.

The safety and wellbeing of all our members is our priority, and the conditions are simply too hot for training.

Hopefully the weather will be a bit cooler next week, and we’ll be back to normal. Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll see you all on Monday! 🥊

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to close the gym tonight as the temperature inside has become too hot to train safely and comfortably.

We’ll monitor the situation and see how things are tomorrow. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Today we had young Gino boxing in the Eastern Division Final.

Gino came flying out of the blocks and put in a fantastic first round, showing great skill, determination, and confidence. His opponent came back strongly in the second round, and full credit to him for the way he responded. Going into the third, I had it one round apiece.

The final round was a brilliant contest, with both boys enjoying good spells of success and giving everything they had. In the end, the decision went to Gino’s opponent.

Massive credit to both lads, they put on a fantastic bout and showed exactly what amateur boxing is all about. We’re incredibly proud of Gino’s performance and the heart he showed throughout.

He’ll learn from this experience and come back even stronger. Onwards and upwards! 🥊👏
