I say this with love (and a little bit of frustration towards the echo chamber we find ourselves in within the health & fitness industry, lol) 🫶🏼

If you relate to any of these (especially number 2), then you’re in the right place 😎🤝
First long run back in France didn’t disappoint🤩🥐🇫🇷
Starting to question why I so willingly accepted a new gel from to trial on my recent LONG run, after he very clearly said it was not a pleasant experience🤣
Maybe it’s safer to test new things when you’re closer to home?? Or a toilet??😭
Anyway…I got lucky this time round and despite the texture resembling that of a ran over slug, it did the job nicely and had me feeling strong for the rest of the distance 😮💨
Raspberry & Lemon flavour was a solid 8/10
Texture was a -3/10 but would get past it if it was my only option, purely because it did the job and didn’t cause any GI issues🤣
Would I recommend??
Depends how willing you are to get over the discomfort of slime in your mouth for the gainz, I guess…🤢
Regardless, let this be a reminder to be FUELLING YOUR TRAINING!! Especially if it’s lasting longer than 90+ minutes 🔥
Carbs really are an athletes best friend, and if you want to perform like one, start fuelling like one🫡

I might have missed the lift, but Jager Shoots didn’t miss the money shots🤣📸

Just checking in because I care # # #
(I regret to inform you all I find creating this mildly amusing, passive aggressive content far too cathartic and refuse to stop, so there’s plenty more to come🫶🏼)

A weekend off the IG grid started off strong with a very wholesome date night with Alex Rizk | The Nerdy Strength Coach ❤️
Happiest with a plate of carbs (+ a Hugo spritz) in front of me🤤
📍 Lowe’s on Carter Street
A client said these gels were “absolutely grim” and insisted I must try one on Saturday mornings long run🫠
(Can confirm, the flavour was great, texture was in fact grim😭)

The only way you can ever truly “fail” at something is if you give up trying.
So as a girly who is self-aware enough to accept I’m petrified of failure, you best believe I’m gonna keep on trying🤣
And yes, that means even when I make mistakes along the way!
Did my comp go how I wanted it to? Absolutely fu***ng not 😂
Was there plenty I was disappointed with? Yep.
Has that changed now I’ve calmed down? No.
But once I’d got past the initial frustration and looked at it objectively, I realised there was also a LOT that went right - and, more importantly, I could clearly see what went wrong and what I need to work on next.
And that’s useful information💪🏼
I see people do this with their progress ALL the time.
One bad training session = I’m getting weaker
One weekend where nutrition goes sideways = I’ve ruined my progress
The scales jump up = my diet isn’t working
You feel like you’ve failed, so you treat that feeling as evidence that you have failed.
But feelings aren’t always a particularly reliable performance review, as we should well know by now😅
Feel them. Be pi**ed off. Have your little strop (best believe I did🫠).
Then look at the evidence.
What actually happened?
What went well?
What didn’t?
What can you control?
What are you going to do differently next time?
Because you can use a setback as evidence that you’re not capable…
Or you can use it as information to become more capable.
I know which one I’m choosing 🤝
How about you?
8 months.
£2,500 to raise.
And 0 ➡️ 42.2km to learn how to run.
This is going to be quite the journey…😅🏃🏼♀️
Next year, my cousin will be taking on the to raise money for a charity that means an enormous amount to her family 💜
When her husband, Tom, was just a baby, he became seriously ill with meningitis.
Thankfully, he survived - but the disease left him profoundly deaf and reliant on a cochlear implant to regain some of his hearing.
Since then, he’s had to navigate challenges most of us will never have to think twice about.
Through school.
Building a career as a chef.
And now becoming a dad to their baby girl 🥹
And throughout it all, the support available to Tom and his family has made a huge difference.
So Fiona has decided she wants to give something back.
There is, however, one minor detail…
She is currently restarting her running journey from SCRATCH❌
So over the next 8 months, we’re taking her from 0 ➡️ 42.2km, whilst she simultaneously navigates being a new mum, working as a nurse AND somehow finding the time to train for a marathon.
My job? Get her to that finish line in one piece 🫡
Hers?
Alongside learning how to run 26.2 miles, Fiona needs to raise £2,500 by March to secure her charity place.
We’ve already got a few ideas up our sleeves to help make that happen 👀
But this is where YOU can help us too.

So…0km ➡️ London Marathon
£0 ➡️ £2,500.
8 months to make it happen.
Let’s freakin’ GO 💜

WRPF North West Qualifier
Well…What was meant to be a ✨fun, f*ck around and find out✨ glorified training day, ended up being the most humbling comp to date😅
Alas, nothing builds character like failing a lift for the millionth time in a row after being so confident you were going to make it this time🫠
Squat went to 💩 failing my 1st and 3rd attempt on depth, meaning I only managed to secure 120kg (which SHOULD have been a walk in the park by now💀).
Nerves just got the better of me. Technique broke down because of this. Nothing more to say other than I have some work to do on my headspace with this?
Bench was pretty loyal. Successfully bagged 72.5kg, 77.5kg and then attempted 82.5kg for a PB, but the strength just wasn’t there today🤷🏼♀️
By the time deadlifts came around, I didn’t know what to expect, so I simply looked away and put the trust in Dan Casson - Online Powerlifting Coach to deal with the numbers😅 we secured 155kg, 170kg (matched PB) and attempted 175kg for a final ✨let’s see what we got✨…I was pleasantly surprised to see I got it just passed my knees after how heavy 170kg felt, but I didn’t quite have it in me today to lock it out.
I’m not one to ever be negative about these experiences, because I genuinely believe there’s always something valuable to take away into the next…
But I’m also not one to lie about what I really think, and I was disappointed to say the least with this outcome.
Just going to give myself time to feel however I need to feel, before seeing how I’m going to move on from this to be better for Nationals🫡
Despite all of this, it was still a great weekend getting to see SO many of the Hart Performance ‘s team hard work pay off🥹
The support from Dan Casson - Online Powerlifting Coach Alex Rizk | The Nerdy Strength Coach Kat | 1-1 & Online Coach Chelseaa Lee (& everyone else who cheered/messaged) is always appreciated more than you guys will ever know🫶🏼
& of course the WRPF UK volunteers, platform crew & judges were as amazing as ever too!🔥
One day the stars will align and I’ll bag a respectable squat PB…just not today😅🤝
