With Jackie as my spotter, a lifeguarded beach (courtesy of Water Safety Ireland), and with a blue flag.

Completed the inaugural Lough Dan charity swim this morning.
A stunning location in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland.
Over 100 participants took part in the 1km distance and 80 in the 3.9km one. I completed the 1km.
Yes, the water temperature really was 21c with the air temperature being 23/24 degrees and clear blue skies.

This is one of my most treasured experiences and memories.
I was selected to be the official ILDSA Observer for Alison Streeter when she set a world record (at the time) of 10hrs and 2mins for a solo crossing of the North Channel (Scotland to Northern Ireland).
That's me still in the water beside Freda Streeter (Alison's Mum) in the row boat, whilst Alison is being interviewed by UTV. πππ
