SJDA, today, Wheels for Wishes are doing one of the biggest rides, in aid of veterans who have lost their lives to su***de. I shall also be on this ride today, so if you can all be at B&Q carpark, for 9.30am, Lots of bikers will be riding past shortly after, and making their way to the arboretum memorial.

Also, if anyone has a motorbike and would like to come and take part, we're meeting at coopers square carpark at 8.30am, and leaving at 9.

It’s just after 5am.

Most of the world is still asleep, but today has already begun. Somewhere, people are waking up. Pulling on their leathers. Checking their bikes. Getting ready to travel miles to stand beside people they may never have met.

And they’re coming to us.

Today isn’t really about motorbikes. It isn’t about how many turn up, how impressive the convoy looks or how loud we can make Burton.

It’s about the people who aren’t here to see it.

It’s about the empty chair at the table. The phone number you still can’t delete. The photograph you stop at for a little longer than the others. The birthday that still comes every year.

It’s about the families who have had to learn how to carry on living after a knock at the door or a phone call changed their world forever. And it’s about every person who once sat quietly believing that this world would be better without them in it.

If that is you, please hear us today.

You matter. Your voice matters. And there are people you haven’t even met yet who would rather sit beside you through your darkest night than live in a world where you are no longer in it.

That is why we ride.

Today we ride for the serving members of our Armed Forces and our veterans who fought battles nobody around them could see. We ride for the sons. The daughters. The dads. The mums. The brothers. The sisters. The partners. The friends.

We ride for every name that should never have needed to be remembered this way. And we ride beside the families who have been left carrying those names.

When those engines start this morning, listen to them. Really listen.

Because that roar is more than noise.

Let the roar of our bikes represent the sound of the voices that weren’t heard.

Let it carry every name. Every memory. Every “I wish I’d known.” Every “I wish you’d stayed.” Every single person who deserved another tomorrow.

And when we ride into the National Memorial Arboretum today, we won’t arrive as individuals. We’ll arrive as one.

For Paige. For Ed. For Elysium Memorial Foundation. For every family standing behind them. For every person represented by that memorial. And for every person still fighting their battle today.

The miles won’t matter. The early start won’t matter. The tiredness won’t matter.

Because today, we show up.

Today, we make enough noise for those who no longer can. Today, we carry them with us.

And today, more than ever…

✨ NOW TAKING NEW STUDENTS — SEPTEMBER 2026! ✨

After having a waiting list since May, we’re so excited to announce that, following some changes to our timetable, we now have spaces available for new students to join the SJDA family this September! 🖤🩵

Whether your child simply loves to dance, wants to build their confidence and make new friends, or dreams of one day pursuing dance professionally, there is a place for them at Stacey Jones Dance Academy.

🩵 More than just a dance school…

SJDA really is a family.

We have two beautiful studios and a warm, welcoming waiting area where parents can relax, chat and get to know one another. Parents are always welcome to stay if transport is difficult, or if their child isn't quite ready for them to leave yet.

Most importantly, we pride ourselves on bringing out the very best in every student who walks through our doors.
For some, that means developing beautiful technique and becoming the strongest dancer they can be.

For others, it means finding confidence, friendships and a place where they truly feel they belong.

And for students who dream of turning dance into a career, we provide focused training, guidance and opportunities to help them take those next steps.

We are incredibly proud to have supported students through successful auditions and into places at dance colleges and companies.

We welcome a range of abilities at SJDA.

Our classes are fun and encouraging, but they're also structured and disciplined. We believe children can love their dance journey while still being challenged to improve — building strength, technique, resilience and confidence along the way.

Our Principal, Miss Stacey, has an enormous passion for seeing her students succeed. She is their biggest cheerleader, guiding them through their journeys and constantly looking for new opportunities and experiences to bring back to our students here in Burton-on-Trent.

Over the years, Stacey has welcomed some incredible names and performers to our studios, including members of Diversity, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Meesha Garbett — the iconic "Red Beret Girl" from the Matilda movie, to name just a few.

Why?

Because our students deserve opportunities that inspire them to dream bigger. 🌟

🖤 Kindness is at the heart of SJDA
The values we teach extend far beyond the studio. Stacey regularly supports charitable causes, from monthly donations helping orphaned children in Kenya, to raising thousands of pounds for Burton and Derby hospitals, mental health charities helping make Christmas extra special for children and taking a little pressure away from their families, aswell as mental health charities for young minds, and tillys voice mental health charity.

Because at SJDA, we want our students to grow into more than wonderful dancers. We want them to grow into confident, hardworking and kind people.

SJDA is more than a dance school.

2 intermediate exams finished, and now it's time to say goodbye to the most incredible right hand girlie's i could ever have asked for 🥹

Where have the years gone, and how has it gone so quick 🥹💔

I'm grateful for everything 🙏 Your loyalty, Your dedication, Your commitment to dance and our studios, and giving up every Saturday for the past few years to come and help me with my little ones.

I dont know what I'm going to do without you both, but I'm so happy to see you fly the nest, and watch you continue your own journeys.

I am so incredibly proud of you both.

Please don't be strangers.
