Last week, our Football & Education Programme players got away from the football pitch for the day and headed to Pendle Padel Club! πΎπ₯
It was great to see them getting stuck in, having a go at something new and enjoying a bit of friendly competition outside their usual football environment.
We're looking forward to the 2026/27 season getting started and to keep giving our players opportunities like this that support them both on and off the pitch, there's more to development than just what happens on the pitch.
Thank you so much to Pendle Padel Club for having us and helping our players try something different! π

For an afternoon, it was all about friendship, laughter and enjoying the moment together. π±π―
Our Clarets Versus Cancer group spent time this week at Alexandra Lounge, enjoying snooker, interactive darts, great food and even better company.
For people living with and beyond cancer, opportunities like these can make a real difference. They provide a chance to connect with others who understand, build confidence, support wellbeing and enjoy time together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of conversation and, most importantly, the opportunity to focus on something positive and enjoy an afternoon that wasn't defined by cancer. π
A huge thank you to Hussain and the fantastic team at Alexandra Lounge for their warm welcome and generosity in helping to make the day so special.
Here's to more laughter, more memories and more opportunities to come together, support one another and enjoy life.
