A tough night at the office for the Reserves as Presteigne St Andrews take the points with a 5-0 victory at the Lant.

Not the result we wanted, but the lads will dust themselves down and go again.

There’s a quick chance to respond this weekend as Builth Wells Reserves travel to face Presteigne Development Team on Saturday.

Tuesday night, Builth Wells Reserves are back in league action as we welcome Presteigne St Andrews FC to the Lant.

After a strong 3-1 win on the opening day, The reserves will be looking to build on that result and make it back-to-back league victories.

⚽️ RESERVES | FULL TIME ⚽️

A great way to start the season as Builth Wells Reserves pick up all three points with a 3-1 victory over Penybont United at the Lant.

The lads took a little time to settle against a well-organised Penybont side, but Builth gradually began to gain the upper hand, with Aled Rees opening the scoring just before half-time.

Penybont responded quickly after the restart, levelling the score within the opening minutes of the second half.

Builth soon regained the advantage after some quick thinking from a throw-in opened up Owain Corbett, who produced a superb long-range effort to make it 2-1.

Some decisive substitutions helped inject fresh energy into the side late on, with Jake Webb being brought down in the box to win a penalty. Kai Bridgeman stepped up to convert and seal the points for the Bulls.

This Saturday, Shane & Jarv’s Reserve Team get their Watson Financial Mid Wales League South campaign underway as they welcome Penybont United to the Lant.

After plenty of hard work throughout pre-season, the lads will be looking to start their league campaign strongly on home soil.

The pair said:
“We’re really looking forward to getting the campaign started. We’ve got a good mixture of youth and a few well-experienced players in the squad, so we’re excited to see how the lads perform and whether we can carry the good form over from last season.

It’s also been great to see some of the lads already putting in some really good performances when stepping up with the first team, which can only benefit us going into the season.”

Unfortunately, tonight’s Lock Stock Ardal North East League fixture against Radnor Valley FC has been postponed.

Despite Builth’s best efforts to reverse the fixture and get the game played at the Lant, where the pitch is playable, unfortunately this hasn’t been possible.

We’ll share details of the rearranged fixture once confirmed.

Tuesday night we make the short trip to Radnor Valley FC as we return to Lock Stock Ardal North East League action.

The Bulls will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat and get back in the win column, but we know exactly what to expect. Games against Radnor Valley are always intense, competitive and tough, and Tuesday night should be no different.

Fc Queens Park 4-2 Builth Wells FC

A depleted Bulls squad made the trip to Wrexham on Saturday and put in a brave performance, eventually falling to a 4-2 defeat at full time.

Despite missing a large number of players, the lads battled throughout and gave everything for the shirt. A massive thank you must also go to the reserve team players who stepped up, took their opportunity and performed brilliantly when called upon. 👏

🎙️ Manager Brad said:

“We travelled yesterday with 13 players unavailable through holidays and injuries. With the ground being so hard, we’ve also picked up a few more injuries over the last week.

“The lads just got on with it and were unlucky to come away with a 4-2 loss. They put in a hell of a shift, which we can’t fault.

“We now turn our attention to Tuesday and look to get ourselves back in the win column.”
