In glorious Bude sunshine the men’s section played for the Ken Page trophy, this was the last competition of the season. There was some good bowling but much importantly a lot of banter and laughter.
At the conclusion of play Alan Wilson was declared the winner, he was presented with the trophy by Fran our President.
Congratulations to Alan and thank you to everyone who contributed to a successful afternoon.

The 2026 Bude Bowling Club finals weekend is fast approaching and the programme has now been finalised with the details for all the games from 4th - 6th September are on the link below

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, the crows and rooks take the weekend off and we'll see as many of you as possible both playing and if not playing, supporting those who are!

The bar will be open, food will be available from the kitchen and we're hoping to have a great end of season competitions weekend.
Thanks to the competitions committee for managing the club competitions throughout the year and organising the finals programme.

Bude Men’s B team finished the league with a 4-1 win over Wadebridge which places us finishing at least 4th in the league with an outside chance of 3rd if other results were favourable.

Gill presented Fran with the President’s trophy at the conclusion of the afternoon on President’s Day last Saturday.

What a Saturday scorcher!
The tennis courts were empty, but with plenty of sun cream in evidence as 24 members took to the green for our President’s Day last Saturday.
Players were split into two teams, one captained by Fran (President)in a yellow cap and the other captained by Gill (Vice-President) in a red cap. The afternoon started with a ‘spider’ in which everyone, players and supporters, took part. This was won by supporter Tricia Dixon. Donations from the spider were for our charities of the year.

12 ends were played with hydration breaks, just like in the World Cup, taken after every 4 ends.
This was followed by a delicious buffet tea prepared and served by Sue and Steve Greenwood, thanks were expressed to them both for this.

The raffle organised by Sarha, ably assisted by Kim, had an amazing array of prizes and raised £136 for club funds.
After the scores had been totalled, Fran’’s team was declared the winner and he was presented with the President’s trophy by Gill.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed in any way to a very successful, if rather warm, afternoon.

A busy night for the men with 24 players out competing in the A League and the Group 2 League.
The A team had a great away win against Bodmin winning 3-2 while the B team unfortunately lost in a very close match by 1 shot resulting in a 4-1 loss.
