Misty you little legend!! πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’›

Absolutely over the moon with Misty and Prestyn last weekend at BSPS Summer Show, winning their class and picking up their golden ticket 🎫 then pucking up reserve champion Scottish SHP πŸ†

So pleased with my little dream team and cannot wait to watch them at HOYS ☺️

Huge thank you to Ashley and Prestyn for making this possible, you have made my year ❀️

Royal Highland Show 2026 is definitely one to remember πŸŽ‰

A busy few days but well worth it with 4 ponies being placed in the top 5 across 6 classes!

Ziggy (Mount Pleasant Celtic Pride) started the week off strong on Friday, winning both his in-hand part bred arab and part bred welsh classes and then taking reserve champion in both sections, winning a beautiful trophy worth Β£2000. To top it all off he qualified for the prestigious price in-hand supreme, so got a spin in the main ring. In true Ziggy fashion he took it all in his stride and enjoyed every second, while being on his best behaviour after covering our week just last week. He really is the best little pony πŸ₯° Huge thank you to Charlie Cousins who ran him for me!

While Ziggy was strutting his stuff in the thistle ring, Winnie (Clayock First Lady) was pinging round the main ring in the 4/5/6 y/o ridden highland. At only her third show she soaked in the atmosphere and gave me a fantastic ride to stand 5th in good company. I absolutely love this little pony, she always gives her all and is just so much fun to ride 😎

It was Misty (Mount Pleasant Celtic Mist) and Prestyn's turn on Saturday in the HOYS 133 show hunter pony. They went beautifully in the go round but unfortunately had a blip in their show. Despite this they stood a credible 4th, a fantastic result considering Misty had one of his 'Misty moments' but as always Prestyn keeps calm and rides him perfectly. So very lucky to have found such a brilliant little jockey for him who loves him just as much as I do ☺️

Sunday saw Dochie in the HOYS Highlands. He was on top form, powering around the ring and pulled off a foot perfect show to take 2nd in a big class of quality ponies. So thrilled with this result as I was just hoping for a rosette! We then got a spin in my first HOYS championship and
what better place for it than on home soil at the
highland show.

A successful trip to Central and West Fife yesterday ✨️

Just Winnie on board and she didn't disappoint, picking up 2nd in the novice large breeds and reserve champion, recieving lovely comments from the judge again πŸ₯°

Huge thank you to Jill for being chief groom & driver and Karen for the use of her trailer, I couldn't have done it without you both ❀️

Another successful day showing at the BSPS Midterm Show on Sunday ✨️

Gracie exceeded all expectations at her first ever show. Winning the novice intermediates then took the novice championship in really good companyπŸ†She really is the most fantastic little horse πŸ₯°

Misty made his first appearance a successful one, taking the win in the RI 133 SHP expertly ridden by PrestynπŸ₯‡They make the best little team and it makes me so happy watching them do their thing together ❀️

As always a huge thank you to my mum for all that you do as without you none of this would be possible πŸ’ž

Fantastic start to the season at the NPS Scotland Spring Show a couple of weeks ago πŸ†

Winnie (Clayock First Lady) made her ridden debut a winning one, taking the win in the novice h/f/d and later the championship. Absolutely over the moon with her and she has already bagged herself a few more admirers ✨️

Ziggy (Mount Pleasant Celtic Pride) continued the success, winning the inhand rp/hp 2 & 3 y/o then taking his championship too πŸ₯°

Dochie came along for a spin, picking up a 4th in the open h/f/d, unfortunately not getting a warmup and carrying a few extra pounds 🐷 however he's always the only one I'd want to take home πŸ‘‘

Super pleased with them all and to have had such a successful start to the season with 2/3 Scone tickets collected!

As always a huge thank you to Natalie Macdonald & Shiona Macdonald for trusting me with your wonderful ponies and Jennifer Green for all your help, it's always appreciated ❀️

A brilliant end to the season with the boys at the Caledonian Showing Championships ✨️

Dochie started us off on Saturday with a credible 2nd in a huge class of open m&m large breedsπŸ₯ˆalso picking up a ticket for the rider supreme on Sunday. He gave a fantastic account of himself in the championship but unfortunately didn't get the result to reflect this. So so pleased with how he went as he tends to be quite backwards when indoors on surface but he was quite the opposite 🀩

Ziggy continued the success winning the inhand show pony youngstock πŸ₯‡ and then went on to take the win in the inhand show pony championship πŸ† Really pleased with how well he coped with the atmosphere and took everything in. He's got such a good brain for a 2 y/o πŸ₯°

Misty followed on from where the boys left off, taking the win in the 133 show hunter pony πŸ₯‡and later won the show hunter pony championship πŸ† Absolutely over the moon with the way he performed and really showed himself at his best, he isn't usually the easiest to ride at this show!

After a bit of swithering I took Misty into the rider supreme for a spin before the overall supreme. He gave me a fantastic ride, so effortless and felt as though I just had to think it for him to do it. After watching everyone else I was just pleased with how he had gone and to have made it to the top 9 in such a strong selection of riders but as they placed further up the line-up, I was utterly shocked to hear my name being called forward as supreme rider πŸ† A huge honour as the class is in memory of the most lovely man who I was so lucky to know in my younger years of showing, Caroline Hunter, I hope I'd have made your dad proud πŸ’ž

Both Misty and Ziggy were eligible for the overall supreme after winning their championships but unfortunately I couldn't take both in. After lots of running around, Natasha Carle kindly offered to take Ziggy in for me so I could ride Misty. She gave him a lovely experience but neither boys were placed after Misty found it all a little much 🀭

So unbelievably proud of all three of my boys and the way they performed.
Dochie soaked up the atmosphere and really rose to the occasion, pinging around the ring with a smile on his face ☺️
Ziggy took it all in his stride and didn't bat an eye at the busy warm-ups, music, clapping and cheering, tannoy or the dressed arena and champion boards. He really is the best little pony and he makes me so excited for his future πŸ’“
Misty was just brilliant, kept his cool every time he stepped into the ring and was just a pleasure to ride, so lucky I'm still able to do a couple shows with my no.1 πŸ₯°
Thank you Natalie Macdonald, Shiona Macdonald & Mount Pleasant Ponies for trusting me with your boys, they really are the best!

A huge thank you to Jennifer for having them all turned out beautifully, Misty's plaits were amazing, and for the early starts, long days and late nights in the cold, it's truly appreciated πŸ’—. Another big thank you to everyone who made the weekend possible logistically, it wasn't easy! Ciaran, who not only helped bath, lunge, clip and clean tack but also put up with me in the chaotic few weeks leading up, your a saint ❀️
Finally, a huge thank you to Fiona Reed for yet again pulling out all the stops to make this show the end of season finale we all love!

A successful few days for the boys at Scone Palace International Horse Trials ✨️

Dochie pinged around the ring on Thursday in the HOYS Highlands but was perhaps a little excited to be there and bucked 😱 in his gallop. Not sure what surprises me more, the fact he galloped or that he had the extra oomph to throw a bucket in there too πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€£. Despite his exuberance he still managed to pick up a credible 9thπŸ…

He redeemed himself on Friday, smiling the whole way around the ring to be pulled top in good company. He pulled off a foot perfect show just lacking his earlier oomph in his gallop for 2ndπŸ₯ˆ. So pleased with him as he really sat up and carried me around the ring both days, enjoying his job and giving a really good account of himself πŸ”₯

Ziggy was the star of the show winning his In-hand Riding Pony and then going Reserve Champion In-hand RP/SHP πŸ† on Friday. Absolutely over the moon with him as it's only his 3rd outing this year and he took it all in like a pro. Such a special little pony πŸ₯°

A huge thank you to everyone who made the show so special. Jennifer for all you do (there's too many things to list!), Ciaran for being top groom, Bryan for taking the time to come and cheer us on, Natalie & Shiona for always being me and Dochie's biggest supporters, Jill for all the laughs, there's never a dull moment πŸ˜‚. You are all so so appreciated πŸ’—

Another successful few days at the Royal Highland Show with the best ponies ✨️

Ziggy added another red one to his collection, this time in the 2 y/o part bred welsh after winning the yearlings last year πŸ₯‡Can't believe how much he has matured and come into himself since then, very excited for his future 🀩

Poppy had an educational spin in the Intermediate SHP to pick up a respectable 6th, then put her game face on in the 153 SHP to take 5th in line-ups of established quality ponies πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Absolutely over the moon with her as it was a big ask of a novice pony at only her 3rd show, but she took it all in her stride with a smile on her face, recieving the most wonderful comments from the judges πŸ₯° Exciting things to come for her!

Misty made his return to the qualifiers to take a credible 8th in the 133 SHP πŸ… Ridden beautifully by Prestyn who had only sat on him the night before and the judges were so complimentary of them both, recieving the highest ride mark ☺️ So proud of them and can't wait to watch their partnership grow!

Dochie went foot perfect in a massive class of quality Highlands to take 7th πŸ…Absolutely thrilled with him as he was in front of my leg the whole way round the ring, pulling off a flawless show with a fantastic gallop πŸ’¨

I can't put into words how pleased I am with all 4 of them in their own different ways πŸ₯° I have the best little team of ponies!

A huge, huge thank you to everyone who made the past few days possible! Mum for being designated driver and chief groom, the ponies all looked amazing as always! Rhianna for being the biggest help on Saturday, we couldn't have done it without you! Ashley for resolving my homeless at the highland issue and to everyone who came to watch and support us, you're all hugely appreciated πŸ’ž

Roll on the next one!

A weekend of ups & downs and early starts πŸŒ…

It was a successful day on Sunday with Dochie at the Scottish Friends Open Show. He was expertly ridden by Harriet in the junior large breeds to win and take the championship, picking up his Scone ticket 🎟 thank you for riding him so beautifully πŸ₯°.
He then picked up his final Scone ticket in the open large breeds with me after taking 2nd, in true Dochie fashion, his lack of gallop cost us the win πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ πŸ˜‚

It was Mia's turn on Monday at the Puddledub Spring Show. After being so good at her first show a couple of weeks ago, her halo definitely slipped this week! She did a nice show (minus a slight moment to herself) and go round, but showed off her best dance moves - including a very impressive moon walk - while in the lineup, to quite rightfully be last. Fingers crossed she puts her halo back in place for the next one 🀞🏼

A definite highlight was watching little Olly and Ianna do their thing with lots of success and tickets 🎟, the cutest little duo πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯°

As always a big thank you to Fiona & Eleanor for putting on well ran, friendly shows and Carol for the beautiful sash 😍 and a huge thank you to mum (Jennifer) for the early starts and many miles driven ❀️

Easter Sunday well spent at NPS Scotland spring show ✨️

Mia's first show and she didn't disappoint, she was on her best behaviour to stand 2nd in the novice c's & d's, picking up her ticket for Scone 🎫

It was Ziggy's first show since the Highland last year and he continued his success to win the inhand 2 & 3 y/o show pony, then stood reserve champion, also picking up his ticket for Scone πŸ†

Rebecca took over the reins and expertly rode Dochie to take 4th in the junior large breeds, he then went on to be 4th with me in a huge open h/f/d. Very shocked but pleased there were no stains in sight this morning, a win is a win πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Huge thank you to mum (Jennifer) for driving back and forth picking up each pony individually, very handy only living 10 mins away from snec!
