A competitive and fairly even game throughout, both sides struggling to create too many chances over the 90 minutes due to good defending from both teams.

From our view, Braid probably shaded the second half and got ourselves in front, but it was a disappointing finish as Sixmile equalised with the last kick of the game.

A point earned but it definitely feels like two points dropped tonight.

Now a break for Braid with our next game not until the 5th September.

A fairly even first half with little to separate the two sides and not much to talk about in front of goal. The second half, Braid upped the intensity and got their rewards with 4 goals which see’s us into the next round.

We’d also like to thank FLAX Steakhouse for their hospitality after the match. As always, fantastic food and service — it was greatly appreciated by both teams 👏

A competitive and fairly even game throughout, with both sides having their moments over the 90 minutes.

Unfortunately, mistakes from Braid were punished, before a spectacular strike from distance sealed the win for Newpark who over the full 90 minutes deserved the three points between the two teams.

Braid United are delighted to announce the signing of Eóin Gillan. ⚽️

Eóin brings a wealth of experience to the squad, having played at a higher level throughout his career. A central midfielder, he’ll add quality, composure and communication to the team, while providing another experienced option in the middle of the pitch. His experience will be a valuable addition as we continue through the season, adding further depth and competition for places.

We’re delighted to welcome Eóin to Braid United and look forward to seeing him in claret and blue.

Braid United are delighted to announce the signing of Mark Murchan. ⚽️

A midfielder with plenty of BSML experience, Mark is capable of playing across the midfield and will bring energy, communication, and experience to the squad. His work rate and ability to communicate on the pitch will add another strong option as we look to strengthen the squad throughout the season.

We’re delighted to welcome Mark to Braid United and are confident he’ll be a great addition to the squad. We wish him every success in claret and blue this season.
