A huge congratulations from everyone at Brora Bowling Club to former member Mathew Norrie, who now lives down under in Brisbane, Australia and plays at Algester Bowls Club

Mathew has just become District Singles Champion for the second year in a row. A fantastic achievement and brilliant to see a former Brora member continuing to enjoy success on the greens on the other side of the world! 🌏👏

🏆 GOLSPIE FLOODLIGHT TRIPLES 🏆

Tonight, Barry Phillips, Daniel Norrie and Stuart Maclennan were victorious in the Golspie Floodlight Triples, defeating fellow Brora team Nigel “Mitch” Mitchell, Colin Campbell and Colin Dent in the final.

A fantastic achievement for both Brora teams to make it all the way to the final and ensure the trophy was coming back to Brora! 👏

Congratulations to Barry, Daniel and Stuart on the win, and well done to Mitch, Colin and Colin on a brilliant run to the final.

🌙 Golspie Floodlight Triples Update 🌙

Tonight saw some great bowling in the Golspie Floodlight Triples, with two Brora teams making their way through to the final! 👏

Barry Phillips, Daniel Norrie & Stuart Maclennan will take on Nigel Mitchell, Colin Campbell & Colin Dent in an all-Brora final tomorrow night.

ST DUTHUS TRIPLES

Today, three teams featuring Brora members took part in the Tain Triples, and all three did brilliantly to win their groups! 👏

Siobhan played in her first competition away from Brora, teaming up with Golspie members Aarron Ayrey and Mike Hope. They topped their group before unfortunately bowing out in the quarter-finals. A great effort, especially for Siobhan’s first away competition! 👏

Defending champions Derrick Maclennan of Golspie teamed up with Brora members Stuart Maclennan (Derrick’s wee loon 😄) and Daniel Norrie. They also won their group but, unfortunately, their title defence came to an end in the quarter-finals.

That left Nigel Mitchell, Colin Campbell and Colin Dent, who also won their group and then went two steps further than the rest! 💪

They battled their way through some strong opposition to win the St Duthus Triples! 🏆👏

🏆 September Cup singles

Today we held our September Cup, with Alister Macleod and Daniel Norrie battling their way through to the final.

Alister put in a fantastic performance to secure the victory. Congratulations, Alister, and well done to Daniel on finishing runner-up! 👏
