You can now book in for DRS Cadet Academy at RD7 at Whilton Mill near Daventry in Northamptonshire!

All new drivers to DRS Cadet must complete a DRS Academy day and pass their DRS driver evaluation!

The day consists of

4 x 10 mins sessions

Detailed driver briefing

Track walk with a red and yellow cone system for braking points and turn in points to help each driver learn the racing line.

Racing flag homework sent prior to the day with a written racing flag test on the day to pass ✅

A simulation race start procedure 🚦, a false start simulation and a full course “SLOW” yellow flag procedure is experienced.

This means your child will have experienced all the procedures of a race and will then have an understanding and the confidence to enter a Daniel Ricciardo DRS cadet race!

Hooton Park is a seriously technical circuit to master, but it always delivers sensational racing! 💨

The long pit straight and shorter back straight provide great overtaking opportunities — but your moves need to be planned with precision! 🎯

It’s also a very physical track, meaning driver stamina, fitness and concentration will be crucial if you want to conquer Hooton Park and fight your way onto the DRS podium! 🏆
