Tomorrow (Monday, 31st August) marks the official start of our annual Floodlight Triples Tournament!

Competition entry is now closed, but the action is just getting started. If you want to witness some top-quality bowling under the lights, come along every Monday and Tuesday evening for the next three weeks! It all builds up to the thrilling knockout phase starting on 16th September.

With the 'A' team completing their Somerset County League Season last week, it was over to the 'B' & 'C' teams to conclude their seasons.

The 'B' team were in contention for the North One title, a good win for us and the result at Banwell going in favour of the hosts could see us promoted as Champions!
Congratulations to Portishead RBL Bowling Club 'A' on claiming the North one title and returning to Premier 2 at the 1st attempt.
We did record the win against St Andrews 'B' 9-3.

On the other half of the green, the 'C' team welcomed Chew Stoke in North 3.
Both teams were seated at the wrong end of the table, our 11-1 victory gave us the end of season bragging rights!

Time to catch up on Friday's Triples League match.

Managing to dodge the showers we welcomed Imperial to Ashton Gate for the afternoon fixture.

For the fourth game in a row we recorded a 12-0 victory, hopefully we can sustain this form until the end of the season!!

This morning we completed the Bristol Cup Double, defeating Olveston and District Bowling Club by 12 shots in the Lloyd Trophy at Henleaze Bowling Club.

It was a game we led from the start, and were 16 up at 5 ends, but at 12 ends the lead was down to 1, but we rallied to extend the lead to the finishing margin.

A fantastic win for Captain Clive and a great team performance!

Lloyd Trophy 🏆 Winners 🏆

Week 18 and the final round of matches in the Bristol and District Men's Bowls League.
Both teams were up against Knowle Bowling Club, 'A' team at Home, 'B' Away.

A 2 shot defeat befell our 'A' team who won on two of the rinks.
Whereas our 'B' team lost on all three rinks.

Having been in with a slim chance of the First Division title a few weeks ago, our last few games were defeats and we slipped to 5th place.

Similarly for our 'B' team, who had been 2nd for most of the season, slipped to 3rd in Division 3.

Lots of chatter around the league of potential changes for next season?
Lets see what happens next year!

Tuesday evening our 'A' team travelled to Willmott Park Bowls Club for our rearranged fixture from May 21st.
Sorry to say but the green was looking and playing better back then, don't think we've ever seen it that bad!
But we battled hard and were in front with 3 ends to play, sadly, we could maintain the lead and eventually lost the game by 10, drawing on one rink! 1-9

Congratulations to Willmott Park Bowls Club on claiming your first Bristol and District Men's Bowls League division 1 title!

Another trip in the party bus, this time to Williton Bowling Club for our 'A' teams final Somerset County League game of the 2026 season.
To the annoyance of Neil Saunders we were in West Somerset well ahead of time, so a stop at the Windmill in St Audries was required, before heading on to Williton.
As it turned out the party was confined to the bus, it didn't quite make it's way onto the green in regards of the result!!
Disappointing as this was probably the best away green we've played on this year!!

Having played at Knowle on Tuesday we did a Bon Jovi this afternoon travelling to Victoria Park!

This weeks victory was the 6th in a row and our 3rd on the bounce where we have won 12-0, this has put us in a fantastic position towards the top of the table with 3 games left to play, 2 of these games are at home!
