One of my favourite moments from today's lesson's had me laughing harder than I have in years! 🤣🐴
We were practising centre lines for my client Rosie's very first Intro dressage test. This is a huge milestone, and she's worked incredibly hard to get to this point with her very sensitive rescue horse.
Today, Rosie rode the best centre line I've ever seen her do.
I said, "OMG, that's the best centre line I've seen you ride!"
Her reply: "I have been practising."
I laughed and said, "It shows! Last time you were between 2 and 5 metres off at times!"
Without missing a beat, she replied:
"I like to socially distance." 😂
Safe to say I nearly fell off the mounting block laughing!
In all seriousness, it has been a privilege watching Rosie and her horse grow together. The journey from where they started to preparing for their first dressage test has taken patience, trust, consistency and a lot of hard work. Moments like today's remind me why I love coaching so much—the progress is amazing, but the laughs along the way make it even better.
Good luck to Rosie and her wonderful horse for their first Intro test! 🍀🐴
