Little Roo update 🥰

Now that Roo is 3, we’ve started introducing some lateral work into his groundwork. He’s definitely more mentally ready for it now, as

previously he would get too over stimulated. We’re keeping the exercises simple and using them to build on the foundations we’ve already established, focusing on balance, suppleness and understanding rather than asking for too much too soon. ✨

We’ve also started introducing the bit and bridle, just to allow him time to become comfortable and familiar with them before we start long reining in them.

It’s lovely seeing him becoming more mature and ready for the next steps. We’re not rushing anything, just taking our time and making sure he’s happy, comfortable and confident as we progress. 🥰

Everyone had a really good go at the pole patterns today, working through both trot and canter poles and focusing on rhythm, balance and accuracy.
