A huge well done to all the gentlemen who represented Shirehampton Park Golf Club in this year's Presidents Cup.

After a tough run of fixtures, the lads battled their way to the semi-finals, where we were narrowly beaten by The Bristol. It wasn't the result we wanted, but everyone gave absolutely everything.

A big congratulations to The Bristol and the very best of luck in the final, we hope you go on and lift the trophy.

Thank you to everyone who pulled on the shirt this season. We'll be back bigger, stronger, and ready to go again next year.

The recent heatwave has presented a real challenge, and our greenskeepers are working tirelessly to maintain the condition and playability of the course for everyone.

Here is a few words from our Head Greenkeeper Chris:

“Eight days ago this green underwent renovation, including Verti-Drain aeration, Ninja tine work and multi-directional verticutting. Since then, the focus has been on supporting recovery while maintaining a consistent playing surface.

Top dressing has been applied to help smooth the surface, dilute organic material and encourage recovery into the renovated profile, followed by rolling to restore firmness and presentation.

Irrigation has been carefully managed to maintain adequate moisture for the recovering turf, particularly during the current warm and dry conditions. The green has also been regularly cut to maintain an appropriate height and encourage a dense, even surface without putting unnecessary stress on the recovering plant.

Overall, the green is recovering well, with continued emphasis on moisture management, light feeding, regular cutting, top dressing and rolling to build back turf density and surface quality.”

What an incredible day at our biggest Captain’s event of the year – the Charity AM-AM! ⛳🏆

In aid of the fantastic charity Unique Voice, we welcomed an amazing 124 players who came together to support a wonderful cause and compete for the prestigious Brian Matthews Trophy.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, donated, volunteered, and helped make the day such a tremendous success. Your support and generosity continue to make this event truly special year after year.

What a fantastic day at yesterday's Captain's Target Golf event! ⛳🏆

Played in a fun World Cup format, the day was packed with great golf, brilliant company, live DJ music from our very own member Dom, plus a delicious BBQ and plenty of refreshments.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a memorable event.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in our 2026 Men's Club Championships last weekend! It was a fantastic competition, with some excellent golf played throughout the event.
