The final week of the season is upon us!

As we enter the final games here’s what’s at stake…

🏏 1’s already promoted. A victory will mean league champs. A defeat on Saturday could still mean league champs all depends on how many points we get 🤞

🏏 2’s are out of the relegation spots but not safe! Only 12 points separate the bottom 4. We are playing a team around us so it’s in our hands!

Sunday XI ended their season with a win away at Claverham yesterday.

Batting first went 216-8. Cam Elswood 52no, and Mathew Beadle with 30 opened the innings before Alexandr Soch with 35 kept the score going Sunday Skipper chipped in with 12 before young Harry came in at the end and struck 19no from 9 balls.

In response Clav also had a great start with both openers retiring with half centuries.

Wickets fell at regular intervals which help keep the score in check as we eventually ran out winners by 20 runs. Lewis J has been consistent all season and finished with 3-26, Sochy 1-15, Kiran Joshy 1-32 and Alfie Parsons 1-34.

Well…what a day!

1’s win by 5 wickets and confirm promotion back to the Senior Division 👏

Skipper Glenn A J Lewin won the toss and put Bath in. After a steady start a flurry of wickets had Bath 60-5 at drinks. A fine partnership followed and we were set 185 to win. Andy Barnsley 8-0-26-2, 6-0-32-2, Cam Elswood 8-3-36-2 with a run out for Spiersy & Tom Carpenter

In reply we lost Jack for 5 for 14 and for 17. However Karabo Motlhanka was locked in and struck a measured and composed 74no with support from Glenn with 15, Alexandr Soch 12 and AB hit the winning boundary to secure our promotion. Absolute quality lads 🏏👏

2’s also won to leave their survival in their own hands. Batting first we posted 288-4. Thomas Birt with a majestic 103no from 93 balls 11x4 and 4x6. Tom was supported by Will Grubb with 59, Dan Jones with 38, Dan Dixon with 26 & Mark Jones with 21.

In response Twyford were always in the mix as they fell short by 48 runs. DJ 7-0-31-2 Alex Grubb 1-25, Freddie Basnett 1-38, Tom Redding 1-44 & Ellis Turner 1-45. Well done lads 👏🏏
