Getting back into team sport as an adult has been both one of the biggest joys in my week alongside being a very humbling experience lol.
Let’s talk about the joys…
- The new friendships moving to a new place
- Back playing the sport I adored at school
- Being part of a team again
- Experiencing win, losses and getting to be competitive together
- Flow state movement
- Having a community when your day or life is hard and you need a switch off
- Being coached and learning from others
The humbling parts 💀
- Feeling like my body was run over by a truck the first few games 🫠
- Being mid 30s, you suddenly realise what you were able to get away with at school with training, nutrition and recovery was minimal and now you need a lot more intention
- The injuries, niggles and joints not feeling so fresh
- Game day nerves lol
The joys will always outweigh the humbling parts, and tbh I look at these areas as places to put more effort and intention into for myself.
But I have had a lot of conversations with clients who were put off sport when they were in school because of their PE teacher and honestly it makes me sad.
If you’re thinking about joining a team sport, trying something new or going back to something you did when you were younger I would always urge you to do it. You don’t know how positively it could impact your life.
Movement can feel fun, joyful and I hope you can experience that 💕
What sport would you go back to or try as an adult?

‘Second skipped because I chose comfort but actually the comfort wasn’t that comfy because I‘ve been choosing comfort too often!’
The more we can question and reflect the easier it gets to be able to call out our own BS.
Comfort isn’t the enemy but be willing to leave it often to get you to where and who you want to become

Summer be summering.
Adventures, training, swimming, working, eating fresh lobster for the first time and planning for the next phase of our netball in season program 🙌🏽
Perfect mix of calm, chaos whilst trying to slow down and be more where my two feet are.

When I first got into the industry, I thought more was better. Over the years I have come to realise and understand through trial and error and actually experiencing what works, that direction and intention (and often simplification) is what drive progress.
There is nothing worse than feeling like your showing up and putting in the work, yet nothing is really changing.
If you want to get better at something, be stronger, move better in your body, then you need to make sure there is purpose behind what you are doing.
-> Knowing why you’re doing a specific exercise
-> Understanding how it is moving your needle forward
-> Being able to intentionally show up each week and know the effort is contributing to the result. This is where rinse and repeat comes I
Purpose drives progress.
I promise you that knowing your why and how, is a much more enjoyable place to be!
What’s your biggest goal right now?

It’s never black and white.
Some weeks will look and feel better than others. On the weeks where it doesn’t feel good, it doesn’t mean everything’s fallen to s**t.
Readjust and go again.
