🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our Men’s 1st Team, who were crowned Bristol & District Division 1 Champions this evening for the first time in 33 years, after beating Chipping Sodbury in the title decider!

Well done to all of the players who represented Long Ashton’s 1st Team throughout the season. Your hard work, commitment and team spirit have been rewarded!🙌🏼

Congratulations to the Long Ashton team of Bethan P***l, Danielle Williams, Sam Mantzos and Jane Shapcott, who today were crowned Gloucestershire Ladies Gross Team Champions at Long Ashton Golf Club.

Their victory means Long Ashton has qualified for the English Women’s Champion Club competition, which will be held at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club est. 1880 on 29th - 30th August.

A fantastic achievement by the team – congratulations once again, and the very best of luck in the national finals!

A mammoth effort from our Club Captain, Sam Mantzos, and PGA Assistant Professional, Tom Maggs, who have completed an incredible 100 holes today in challenging heat, all in aid of this year’s club charity, Children's Heart Federation ❤️

Pictured teeing off the 11th at 4:35am this morning, the pair showed incredible determination throughout the challenge — and even found time for a quick interview with ITV News West Country after completing 60 holes! 🎥

A huge well done to both Sam and Tom for taking on such an amazing challenge and raising money for such a fantastic cause.

🏆 Men’s Club Championship Results 🏆

What a challenging weekend of golf, with players tested by tough conditions across the weekend.

Congratulations to our Men’s Club Champion, Joel Warne, who followed up an outstanding 74 on Saturday with a 75 on Sunday to secure the title by two shots.

Boyd Cup (HCP 12.4 & Below)
Andrew Kimber claimed the trophy with a superb level-par nett total of 142.

Merreweather Cup (HCP 12.5 & Above)
Dave Nelson produced an excellent 138 nett (-4) over the weekend to take the win.

A huge congratulations to all competitors who took part and battled the conditions, and an extra well done to our 2026 champions on their fantastic performances. 👏⛳🏆
