Looking for some Sunday afternoon rest and restore?🌙 You may have noticed that our Weekly Yoga and Sound extended classes are back from next week! 🙌🌟

The wonderful Aniya is back to guide you through 75 minutes of gentle yoga flow, followed by relaxing live music to envelop you in calm by aiding your busy mind to take a break.🎶

Aniya found yoga at university, after a period of intense stress and overwhelm. She quickly became entranced by the thrill of acroyoga and only returned to yoga when discovering the philosophy, becoming curious about the depth that it has to offer. She never imagined becoming a yoga teacher but embarked on her teacher-training as a journey of personal-development, only to find it enhancing her offerings as a music teacher and unexpectedly finding great joy in teaching yoga. Aniya is a singer-songwriter and offers Ayurvedic yoga massage, sharing both her voice and hands on in classes.

Welcome back Aniya 💓

Another little schedule update for our regulars! ❣️

Very sadly, the wonderful Rebecca is leaving us, with next Friday (4th Sept) being her last regular class at Trika 😢. Rebecca has been teaching our Thursday and Friday 12:30pm Vinyasa classes since early 2025, and we're so grateful to have had Rebecca for the past year and we know all her regulars are too! 💫

Good news is, we've been really considered about which teachers are taking over these classes, looking for teachers who naturally have similar styles and can bring fun, energising vibes to your midday boost! ✨️

💟 Immy will be taking over Thursdays 12:30pm Vinyasa Flow from 3rd Sept
💟 Naomi will be taking over Fridays 12:30pm Energize and Release Vinyasa from 4th Sept

Both teachers have covered these classes regularly, and are highly trained in these styles! We know you'll love practicing with them both some more! 🥰

Thank you for all the wonderful classes Rebecca, you will be missed!🙏

🌟 We have another update!! 🌟

Where Seana is very sadly leaving us, we can now announce that the wonderful Wakana will be taking over the Tuesday 7.15pm Pilates class, starting next Tuesday 1st Sept!

We're so excited, as Wakana is so personable and warm, with a wealth of knowledge from her professional career in healthcare. Truly the perfect person to take over this class from Seana. 💫

A little about Wakana...
Wakana is a certified mat Pilates teacher with a professional background in healthcare. Having seen first hand how impactful movement can be,
she truly believes that movement is fundamental for both physical and mental wellbeing. On a personal level, Pilates has helped her gain more confidence, awareness of her body and consistency.

Her classes are focused on building core stability and endurance, whilst always blending elements of mobility, balance and flow. By prioritising adaptability, Wakana’s goal is to make movement feel accessible, sustainable, and most importantly enjoyable for every body.

Have you seen this on our schedule yet? It's gonna be a nurturing one! 💫

Emily is hosting a lovely extended practice on Saturday 5th Sept afternoon to help ease our transition from Summer into Autumn.✨️

Take some time to pause, reflect and set some intentions as you settle into the cooler months 🙏

This practice will begin with guided journalling prompts, celebrating what's nourished you and acknowledging what you're ready to let go. The session will then move through a gentle yoga flow to help embed your reflections, releasing any tension or things you need to let go of.

Sounds wonderful 🌸

Another new-school-year schedule update! 💫

VERY excitingly, Finnola will be back from Maternity leave next Tuesday 1st September! We're soooo excited to have her back at Trika for her regular classes. 🙌 We hope you're as excited as we are 🙏

We're SO grateful to Mona and Nicole who have been covering Finn over this period. They have both cared for these classes whole heartedly, and we couldn't have asked for any better teachers to have taken these on. We know all of you have adored sharing Pregnancy Yoga with Nicole and Core and Release Vinyasa with Mona.

We want to assure you that Mona and Nicole remain on our schedule and are very much incredibly valued and important parts of the Trika community.🙏

🌟Nicole teaches Pregnancy Yoga on Saturdays at 10.15am

We will also continue to review our schedule with the hope of adding both an additional class somewhere soon 🙏

Exciting news✨️! From next Saturday 29th August, the amazing Matt will be taking over our Saturday 9am Vinyasa Flow class 👏

We love having Matt as a part of the Trika team, so were delighted when Matt could take over this class from Seana.

With Matt's dance background and beautiful spirit, we know this class will be very flowy and fun 〰️

If you can't make it at Saturday's at 9am Matt also teaches...
➡️ Thursday 19.15 Power Vinyasa
➡️ Thursday 8.30pm Flow and Yin for Stress Release
➡️ Saturday 11:30 Mandala Vinyasa

🌟Here's a little bit more about Matt🌟:
Matt’s journey into the world of yoga began as a way to complement his career as a professional ballet and contemporary dancer. He has practiced yoga for over 25 years and throughout this time developed a love for observing the body in motion and it’s contrasting balance through stillness.

Completing his yoga teacher training at the Bristol School of Yoga in 2022, Matt’s classes are known for their fluid sequencing and playful spirit, encouraging others to discover and embrace their unique and authentic movement styles with confidence.

When he's not in the the yoga studio, you can find Matt having fun with his dog, Pebbles, enjoying long walks or getting messy in the garden as he tends to his veggies. 🐶

Calling all those interested in deepening their philosophical and physical yoga practice, particularly our Ashtanga, Rocket and Vinyasa students 💫

The wonderful Olu is hosting a workshop to deep-dive into a key element of yoga asana - transitions.

Transitions are the movements from one post to the next, but can also be a metaphor for the human experience, as we move constantly between chapters of our lives, and states of being. Being able to be present in and to refine those moments of change is an art. When you learn how to be mindful in those moments, you open up a whole new layer of experience. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

A little more about the workshop:
Within the workshop, we'll start off with some sun salutation variations and a medley of standing postures from the Ashtanga series to warm the body up. Then we’ll move on to an exploration of transitions: the connecting moments between postures. This exploration will be both the physical movement coupled with the philosophy of these liminal spaces. Ultimately this practice will help you to connect more deeply and mindfully to the experience of the in-between - enriching your experience of yoga asana going forward.
