Begbrook Green Bowling Club

It won’t be too long till the end of the season and we have had the Reg Buston trophy, Ladies vs Men which was a fun afternoon and on Saturday 28th August we have our finals day so good luck to all the finalists. Then bank holiday Monday we are being treated to an afternoon tea to look forward too. Without all the hard work of the committee and the members these events would not be able to go ahead. It’s peoples commitment that make our club so successful.

If you missed the Open and Fun day this year look out for next years. We had 3 teams take part who saw the day on Facebook and all throughly enjoyed it. One team even won one of the competitions.

Murder Mystery Evening
Friday 26 June
For the first time ever, we hosted a
Murder Mystery Evening on Friday 26th
June in our marquee. An evening of
mystery, intrigue, laughter, and
suspense as the club was transformed
for a night of detective work and
entertainment. Some teams
successfully solved the murder, others
pointed fingers in the wrong direction,
overall there were many laughs, theories
and costumes which all contributed to a
great evening!

Why not get 4 members of your family or friends together for a Sunday afternoon of fun and competition, you’d be surprised how much you’ll enjoy it and there are prizes to be had.

As a club we have a good many friendly games compared to other clubs as a rough estimate we have approximately 70 games and if there is no game something will be arranged. What more could you ask for.

Two of our members who have been on the television in quiz shows. Nick Theobald who has been on numerous shows and Arthur Harris who has just appeared on Pointless. Did we get a mention to promote the club? I’m sure they ask you what hobbies you have. 😂
