With the season now pushed back, we are having a club work day for both our juniors and seniors on Saturday 19th September, 10am - 4pm. We still have jobs outstanding as we put the final touches to the clubhouse before the season officially begins.

From 7pm we’ll be hosting our annual quiz night with food provided by Cafe Marina. Friends and family welcome.

Bristol Saracens would like to extend their sincerest congratulations to a stalwart of our club, Andy Blackmore, who today was rightfully recognised with a senior cap for England.

The RFU has awarded retrospective caps for selected matches between 1971 and 1993.

A standout second row for Bristol, Andy was selected by England and toured Canada in May and June 1993, with England winning four matches and losing one. He impressed in both tests as Martin Johnson’s second-row partner.

At the time, England did not award international caps for the matches with Canada due to a British & Irish Lions Tour taking place simultaneously but that has now been rectified.

Andy’s legacy continues through his son Ted, who has represented Bristol Saracens at both junior and senior level.

Well earned Andy, an incredible achievement.

Pre-season is now well underway and we’ve had over 30 players each session as we build towards the forthcoming season.

If you fancy a new challenge, or you’re looking to get back into rugby, we cater for all players.

We train Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45pm onwards. Come and see what Bristol Saracens are all about.

New players welcome as we announce pre-season begins on Tuesday 2nd July. We run two senior sides and a vets, any experience is catered for.

With over 130 years of history and one of the founding members of the Bristol Combination, come and join Saracens.

Brilliant night at the Bristol Golf Club on Saturday at our 130th Annual Dinner. Huge thank you to all of our guests and to guest speaker Steve Diamond, and to Bob Mole for taking photos of the evening.
