Families are invited to help celebrate five decades of one of Bristolโ€™s best-loved community spaces with a huge Anniversary Fayre on Saturday 12 September.

๐ŸŽญ A brand new Bristol pantomime is coming this Christmas!

The Redgrave Theatre is staging its first ever in-house panto, with Dick Whittington running from 4 December to 3 January.

Expect Bristol references, larger-than-life characters, songs, silliness, audience participation and plenty of festive family fun.

There will also be Relaxed and BSL signed performances during the run.

๐ŸŽ“ Brilliant GCSE results at Clifton College

Clifton College pupils are celebrating after 38% of all GCSE grades were awarded at grades 8 or 9, with 20 pupils achieving five or more grade 9s.

Among the standout results were twelve grade 9s for Robert, ten 9s and an 8 for Flower and nine 9s and an 8 for Archie.

๐Ÿšข We stepped aboard Titanic for a very different family day out in Bristol!

Titanic: A Voyage Through Time uses virtual reality to take visitors from the wreck on the Atlantic seabed back to 1912, where you can explore the ship, meet passengers and crew and even have a go at shovelling coal in the boiler room.

There were plenty of laughs along the way, but we also found it genuinely fascinating and surprisingly moving.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Could you help build a pier in a day?

A giant cardboard version of Birnbeck Pier is coming to Weston-super-Mare this September โ€“ and families and residents are invited to help create it.

There will be free workshops at the Sovereign before the huge community build in Prince Consort Gardens on Saturday 26 September. Then, the following day, everyone can help topple it before the cardboard is recycled!

Students are celebrating improved results across key measures, success in science, humanities, the arts and vocational subjects and some outstanding individual achievements.

Fairfield has also praised students who overcame significant challenges during their school journey to achieve results they can be proud of.

๐ŸŽ“ GCSE success at Sidcot School

Year 11 students are celebrating after achieving strong GCSE, IGCSE and BTEC results, with 29% of grades at 9-7 and 89% at 9-4.

The school also recorded an impressive value-added score, with students averaging almost a full grade higher than expected based on their prior attainment.

๐ŸŽ“ GCSE success at Ashton Park School (Official)

Year 11 students at Ashton Park School are celebrating a strong set of GCSE results, reflecting their hard work and dedication throughout their time at the school.

Headteacher Richard Uffendell said the school was proud not only of students' academic achievements but also of the respectful, determined and community-minded young people they have become.

Many will now continue their studies at Ashton Park Sixth Form this September.

๐ŸŽ“ GCSE success at IKB Academy - Keynsham, Bristol.

Students at IKB Academy are celebrating their GCSE results, with some excellent academic and vocational achievements across the Class of 2026.

Among those celebrating are Sonny, Sam, Ava, Kaspian, Finn and Taya, while Fin achieved the grades he needs to pursue his ambition of working within the police service.

Students are now heading on to sixth form, colleges, apprenticeships and vocational training across the region.

๐ŸŽ“ Congratulations to Year 11 students at Clevedon School who are celebrating another improvement in GCSE results.

The school says overall achievement is significantly above the national average, with students now looking ahead to Sixth Form, college and the next stage of their education.

Head of School Sam Kent said students should โ€œlook back with pride, celebrate and then look forward with excitementโ€.
