🏑 Women’s Elite Team Open Trials – 2026/27 Season 🏑

Are you ready to take your hockey to the next level?

We’re inviting both current BHHC members and new players to attend our Women’s Elite Team Open Trials.

• Wednesday 5th August and Monday 10th August
• 7pm- 9pm
• Blatchington Mill School, Hove, BN3 7NB

These sessions are open to everyone looking to be part of our Women’s Performance programme. Players who represented the W1s or W2s last season are required to attend.

The trials will include a mixture of technical skills and game-based activities, giving our coaching team the opportunity to assess players in a structured and competitive environment.

📧 Following the trials, players will be contacted on 11th August with invitations to join the Women’s Performance Squad for pre-season training, taking place Mondays and Wednesdays, 7pm–9pm.

🏃‍♀️🏑 BHHC Parkrun is BACK! 🏑🏃‍♂️

Join us as we take over our local parkruns this summer! Whether you’re running, jogging, walking, or just coming along to support, everyone is welcome.

Dates:

🏃 25th July – East Brighton Park
🌈 1st August – Bevendean Down (BN2 4LB) (before Pride!)
🏃 8th August – Hove Park
🏃 15th August – Preston Park
🌊 22nd August – Hove Promenade

BHHC members: Wear your home or away club shirt and meet at 8:45am ready for the 9am 5K parkrun.

Friends, family and supporters are all welcome to join us. Stay afterwards for a coffee, a chat, and help us show the local community what Brighton & Hove Hockey Club is all about.

📣 Player & Coaching Announcement 📣

BHHC is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Blood as our new 1st Team Assistant Player-Coach.

Andy joins the club from Bromley & Beckenham and will play a key role both on and off the field. Alongside his playing responsibilities, he will also be assistant coach of the 1st team and lead training for our 2nd XI, supporting the development of players throughout the club.

He brings a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach, and we are confident his knowledge, leadership and commitment will make a significant contribution to the club.
