Birthday week celebration bike ride 😎 Someone would say "slow and flat" but not I, if you ask (yes, we were up that hill).

50K around Sussex counts as cross-training and is rewarded with coffee and cake.

Now it's time to get ready for evening celebrations 🍾 💃🕺

Annual birthday run completed along sunflower fields 🌻💛
Can't really ask for more.
Unless it's an entry to ultra 50K. Which I got.
The next level of training must commence.

Nutrition for runners is crucial for performance, recovery, and overall health. Here are some key components to consider:

🥔Carbohydrates: They are the primary energy source. Runners should focus on complex carbs like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Aim for a carbohydrate-rich meal before long runs.

🍗Proteins: Important for muscle repair and recovery. Include lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, and plant-based proteins in your diet.

🥑Fats: Healthy fats are essential for overall health and energy. Sources include avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil.

🍉Hydration: Staying hydrated is vital. Drink water throughout the day and consider electrolyte drinks during long runs or in hot weather.

🍋Vitamins and Minerals: Ensure adequate intake of vitamins and minerals, especially iron, calcium, and vitamin D, to support overall health and prevent deficiencies.

⏰️Timing: Pay attention to meal timing. Eat a balanced meal 2-3 hours before running, and refuel with a mix of carbs and protein within 30 minutes post-run.

🍡Snacks: Healthy snacks like bananas, yogurt, or energy bars can provide quick energy before or after runs.

👂Listen to Your Body: Individual needs may vary, so it's essential to listen to your body and adjust your nutrition accordingly.

By focusing on a balanced diet tailored to your running needs, you can enhance your performance and recovery.

I'm in the 5AM club 🏃‍♀️

Get up before everyone else, exercise, and be home before everyone else is up!

It has taken me a few coffees to get through my 4:30 alarm today, but I'm so glad I did it! Managed to stay dry throughout the run, but while I was having my cherry breakfast, it just started to pour down 🌧 By the time I got home, I was soaking wet.

I definitely recommend this event 👌 Well organised, good atmosphere and it's nice and early 🏅

Hello all who I have met and who I hopefully will meet soon 👋

I'm a small business who supports mums to be and new mums to stay fit and healthy throughout their pre & postnatal journey. I'm still young, but I'm slowly growing.

However, I do need your support! ❤

If you have been to my classes, walks, running courses, and personal training, I would love to hear what you think! I would love it if you could share your experience with others, so they would know about me too!

Would be great if you could spare a couple of minutes and leave a review on my Google page 'Mum on the run Brighton '.

I'm about creating a community for mums in an affordable way!

Exercise, chats, and coffee, and kids, of course ❤

Thank you very much!!!

Ilze x
