Lovely pair of custom built dirt jump wheels hot off the jig today - customer wanted a high engagement hub on a lightweight rim for the pump track sessions, so we laced Halo’s brand new single speed specific hub to what we think may be the last few 26” 471 rims available anywhere, topped off with some killer foil decals from Slik - what a package!

Great to have some BMX action back in the shop today with this frame swap/full rebuild for local little ripper - stepping up a frame size, we stripped all the parts from Elliot’s previous bike and rebuilt them onto a fresh Supercross carbon frame along with some new consumables ready to head straight to Zolder in Belguim for the last round of the Euro cup.

New customer Adnan dropping into the workshop this morning with this super clean & stealthy Trek Domane SL. We had this one in for a little pre-event checkover and to investigate a front end creak, where luckily, we spotted a pinch/crush on the carbon bar clamp with a hairline crack that had just started to run. Replaced with some sensible mid-range alloy kit from Pro plus an IsoSpeed coupler rebuild & carbon steerer check.

Quick once-over and follow up health check for Adam’s Giant TCR this morning after we did a complete groupset swap a few months ago. Some grumbly headset bearings replaced and a few spacers nipped out the stack.

P.O.V - it’s 2003 and you have an unlimited budget for a pair of the best custom built wheels on the market… Step up this lovely pair of retro 26” hoops for Mike this morning. Chris King x Atomlab - things really didn’t get much better than this 23 years ago, an era where heavier meant stronger and we all had one bike to do everything all day, from DH racing on the weekend to weekday late night street stair gaps to flat.

Its a new bike day kicking us off this Monday morning and what a start to another busy week! Lucky Victoria scored a great deal on this fully loaded Canyon Ultimate CFR and had it delivered directly to the workshop for us to unpack & sort - Some minor adjustments, all the usual PDI jobs and a selection of essential accessories fitted

Interesting I9 wheel rebuild to round up the week here at shop H/Q after customer Matt caught a sniper rock and dinged a rim. This one uses I9’s proprietary ‘system spoke’ where the cnc machined spokes insert through the rim and thread directly into the hub shell - a little more time consuming and totally backwards than any normal rebuild, but great to get this one patched up ready for the weekend. Shoutout to the Lyon Equipment crew for the last rim in the UK 🙌🏻

Great to meet new customer Richard & this Marin Rift Zone XR today. We had this one in for a couple of jobs after a little accident out on the trails - badly bent E13 crank arms binned for a killer Praxis upgrade plus a Fox shock sort out - Remember we are the only local workshop with a dedicated suspension bay able to turn forks/shocks round in-house without the need to send items away.
