Thank You, Dallas 🇳🇿🏏

As Dallas prepares to head home to New Zealand, we’d like to place on record our thanks for everything he has brought to Brewood Cricket Club this season.

It has been an honour to have this young man represent Brewood. From the moment he arrived, Dallas bought into the club completely. His work ethic, attitude and club mentality have been a real credit to him, both on and off the field.

And he certainly delivered with the bat.

Dallas finishes the season as our leading run scorer with 1,001 runs, coming from 33 innings at an average of 32.29 and a strike rate of 66.18. Along the way he scored six 50s and two centuries, with a highest score of 120. Reaching the 1,000-run landmark is a fantastic achievement and a fitting reflection of the contribution he has made this year.

He also put in a considerable shift with the ball, sending down 165.2 overs and taking 20 wickets, with best figures of 3/33. In the field, Dallas added nine catches and two run-outs, giving him 11 fielding dismissals for the season.

But the numbers only tell part of the story. What we will remember just as much is the way Dallas conducted himself around the club. His willingness to contribute, his work ethic and the way he embraced being part of Brewood CC have made him a hugely valued member of the club this season.

Dallas, thank you for everything you have given Brewood Cricket Club. We hope you leave with some great memories, good friendships and the knowledge that you will always be very welcome back at Brewood.

On behalf of Paul Blazey, the committee and the entire Brewood Cricket Club membership, we wish you a safe journey home and every success for the season ahead in New Zealand.

A huge congratulations to our u15 girls for winning their league after beating Aldridge by 159 runs this evening. Along with Adelaide, Emma, Iris and Lilly who have played in other games. After the success of getting to the semi final of the national cup as well. It has been a fantastic year for girls cricket. A huge well done and something to be very proud of.

Date - Friday 2nd October with 1st race at 1pm. All funds raised go to the club.

Despite the weather our club race night for John Tett's fundraiser tonight is ON!

Thai Spice are still coming its now a kitchen takeover so you dont get wet when ordering! We know thank to all you lovely people we have a good attendance so we are going for it.

Bar open from 6pm.
Thai food from 6pm.
Race night from 7pm.

Even if you don't fancy the race night, anyone is welcome to pop in and grab a takeaway and why not have a drink whilst you wait for your food?
