It seems that at the moment with the weather turning a bit colder. That mildew seems to effecting fruit trees.
Black spot on roses is also an issue.
Aphids had an early start this season.
So remember prevention is better than cure..

One of the most common pests in
Containers is the vine weevil. It has the ability to cause a huge amount of damage within your garden and if found.. Must be treated
The life cycle is usually noticed in May. With the total collapse of the plant.
With symptoms similar to that of drought.
This is caused by the grub eating the fine root hairs. Leaving the plant unable to take up water.
On some species like rhododendron. And heuchera. When the damage is noticed. It is usually to late to save the infected plant.
Treatment... Prevention is the best option. By the use of biological or chemical treatment.
Container plants should be treated if you have ever found any grubs or adult beatles.
Infected plants will have a lack of roots and usually pull up very easily.. Please see the attached pictures...
