Join our growing DFA family With over 200 pupils enjoying lessons in the many disciplines that are offered our daily classes cater for adults as well as children starting with our special ‘Mummy ‘n’ Me’ Class for 2 year olds. Classes include RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern, Contemporary, Pre-School, Musical Theatre & not forgetting our popular adult classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Vocal Harmony & NEW Veraflow. They are professionally structured and are taught in a caring and happy environment building confidence and not forgetting the key work ‘FUN’. The Academy has attained some of the highest exam results, boasting a 100% pass rate, with many of its pupils achieving distinctions including those at Advanced level. It is also the first school in North Devon to be recognised by the C.D.E.T. Principal and Company Director, Nadine Morrish who was herself a professional dancer, believes it is important for pupils to have attainable goals whereby progress can be measured and therefore encourages pupils to take exams or assessments although these are not compulsory. We offer many exciting performance opportunities including the chance to perform both locally and in the West End! Many of our former students are now performing professionally. Dancing is a fun way to exercise whether your children want to dance as a hobby or with a view to pursuing a professional career and they will be part of something that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Our Toddler Dance classes are the perfect way to enjoy special time with your little one — having fun, getting active and making precious memories together. 💛

🩰 Designed especially for children aged 18 months–3 years, accompanied by Mummy, Daddy, Grandparent or Carer, it’s a wonderful introduction to the magical world of dance!

Through music, movement, imaginative play and props, your little dancer will:

We’d like to say a massive thank you to the wonderful Amy Hawkins from Runway Hair Salon in Barnstaple for creating our Dancing Feet Academy hair and make-up tutorial videos! 💄🎀

We know that showtime is incredibly exciting, but for parents — especially those experiencing their very first DFA show — the thought of getting stage hair and make-up just right can sometimes feel a little nerve-wracking!

That’s why we love being able to provide our families with easy-to-follow video tutorials, helping you feel confident and prepared when it’s time to get your dancer show-ready. And remember, you’re never on your own — we’ll also have our lovely team of volunteers at the theatre ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. ❤️
