Another fantastic evening at the Flat Cap 5! πŸ’™πŸ’›

A huge thank you to Dewsbury Road Runners for putting on another brilliantly organised event. It's always one of our favourites – friendly, well supported, and of course... the legendary pies at the finish! πŸ₯§

Well done to every Breezer who took on the challenge last week. Whether you were chasing a PB, tackling the course for the first time, or simply enjoying a great evening of running with friends, you all did the club proud. It's always inspiring to see so many of our members out there supporting one another from start to finish.

Thanks again to everyone involved in making it such a great event. We'll definitely be back next year! πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ’™ Parkrun is at the heart of who we are as a club. πŸ’™

As Bramley Breezers, we feel incredibly lucky and proud to be such an active part of the parkrun community.

We're fortunate to have five Event Directors within our club, supporting Bramley parkrun, Bramley Juniors, Chevin Forest parkrun and Middleton parkrun. Alongside that, we have a fantastic core team of volunteers at both Bramley events, and so many members who give their time week after week to make parkrun happen.

Whether we're volunteering, cheering from the sidelines, walking, jogging, running, or heading off on another parkrun tourism adventure, Saturday mornings (and Sunday mornings for juniors!) mean so much to us.

Parkrun is far more than just a 5K. It's a place where friendships are made, confidence grows, milestones are celebrated, and everyone is welcomed, no matter their pace or experience. It brings people together, supports physical and mental wellbeing, and reminds us that community is one of the most powerful things we can be part of.

To everyone who volunteers, participates, supports, and encourages others – thank you. You make parkrun the incredible community it is, and we're so proud that Bramley Breezers can play such a big part in it.

Here's to many more Saturdays filled with smiles, high-fives, coffee, cake, and unforgettable parkrun adventures! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’™

This weekend at Manvers Dusk Till Dawn we were reminded exactly what our club is all about.

We had a handful of Breezers taking on the event with some seriously impressive performances. A huge well done to Lesley, Peter and Jess ...but what these three achieved together perfectly sums up the spirit of our club.

Paul is an experienced ultra runner with countless miles in his legs. Before this weekend, Paula's longest run was just over marathon distance, while Ella had never run further than a half marathon. They set off together with no pressure, no expectations and a simple plan to spend some time on their feet.

Paul, however, had a different plan. Through endless encouragement, reassurance and perfectly timed cups of tea, he quietly helped both Paula and Ella believe they could go further than they ever imagined. Together they covered an incredible 50km – the longest distance both Paula and Ella have ever run.

There were smiles, laughter, tired legs and plenty of "we've got this" moments, proving that sometimes the biggest achievements come when someone believes in you before you believe in yourself.

At Bramley Breezers, success isn't measured by pace or podiums. It's measured by the hand offered when the miles get tough, the encouragement that keeps you moving forward, and the knowledge that no one is ever left behind.

We're incredibly proud of all three of you. Thank you for showing exactly what teamwork, inclusivity and friendship look like.

Because that's what being a Breezer is all about. πŸ’™πŸ’›

What a fantastic time we had at the Golden Acre Relay Run! πŸƒπŸ’™

A brilliant event that we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.

We're especially proud of the increased number of Bramley Breezers teams taking part this year. It really shows what our club is all about – teamwork, encouragement, and inclusivity. Seeing so many members pulling on the Breezers kit and supporting one another was fantastic.

A huge thank you to Abby runners for hosting another brilliantly organised event. We always look forward to it, and we can't wait for next year!
