School Summer holidays are approaching fast ποΈ The club will run as normal throughout the summer except for our familyβs annual two week break:
Our last class will be Friday 24th July and we will reopen on Monday 10th August.
Numbers drop significantly over school holiday so please support the club and attend as many sessions as you can. Itβs easy to get out of a routine and when this happens, classes are missed and students get left behind and then wonder why they are not grading. Get to the dojo and keep your progress on track πππ
35 degrees in the Dojo this morning π₯΅ 10 warriors turned up for extra grading prep and a little knife defence to finish off ππππ

Stay Hydrated: A Simple First Aid Tip That Protects Your Health
Staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to protect your health and prevent dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other heat-related illnesses. Whether you're working outdoors, exercising, or enjoying the sunshine, drinking enough water helps regulate body temperature, supports brain function, and keeps your body performing at its best.
Even mild dehydration can cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, poor concentration, dry mouth, and dark yellow urine. If left untreated, it can become a serious medical emergency, leading to confusion, rapid heartbeat, fainting, or heat stroke.
Knowing the signs of dehydration is an important first aid skill. If someone becomes dehydrated, move them to a cool place, encourage them to sip water slowly, and monitor their condition. Call 999 immediately if they become confused, lose consciousness, or show signs of heat stroke.
The best treatment is prevention. Drink water regularly throughout the day, especially during hot weather or physical activity. Eating water-rich foods like watermelon, oranges, and cucumbers can also help maintain healthy hydration.
At SEF First Aid Assistance, we teach practical first aid skills that help save lives. From Emergency First Aid at Work to Paediatric First Aid courses, we provide accredited training to build confidence in emergency situations.
