Unfortunately, we have been informed by 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗙𝗖 that they are unable to raise a team for tomorrow’s fixture and have therefore had to concede the game.

We’re extremely frustrated by the short notice...again, particularly given the significance of the fixture and the preparation that goes into getting the team, ground and club ready to play.

We know plenty of our supporters were looking forward to getting down to The Hive and backing the lads — and we’re just as disappointed as you are. ❤️💛

BUT what comes next is 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘. Our final game of the season on SATURDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

The lads produced another outstanding performance as Clayton ran out 46–14 winners over Woodhouse, putting in a display full of intensity, attacking rugby and commitment.

Clayton came flying out of the blocks and quickly established control, with co-captain Zak Alderson leading the way with a fantastic hat-trick.

Fellow co-captain Ryan “Googie” Wilkinson also crossed twice, while Alex White, Jack Bowman, Blake Harrison and Harry Burgess all got themselves on the scoresheet.

The lads produced a dominant display to run out winners 𝟰𝟲–𝟭𝟰 over second placed Woodhouse Warriors in the Yorkshire Men’s League.

Clayton started strongly and quickly established control, with 𝗭𝗮𝗸 𝗔𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 opening the scoring before 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 crossed soon after. Zak added two more tries for his hat trick during a prolific first half, while Ryan Wilkinson completed his brace. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 and 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗻 also got over the line as Clayton continued to stretch the Woodhouse defence.

After the break, Clayton maintained the pressure, with tries from 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 rounding off an excellent attacking performance.

A thoroughly deserved 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗻, with the side showing plenty of energy, attacking threat and determination from start to finish. 🔴🟡

After an unintended break caused by teams failing to fulfil fixtures, the lads will have to hit the ground running on Saturday.
