Bradford Bandits BMX Racing Club

This week’s race report shout out has to go to our incredible team of volunteers at Bradford Bandits BMX Club 💚💚💚
We usually focus on rider achievements because they are all amazing, but for our relatively small club in West Yorkshire, this was one of the biggest and most successful Regional events we’ve ever hosted.
Behind the scenes, countless hours have been spent fundraising, coordinating, organising, and putting the finishing touches to our brand new start gate just in time for Sunday’s racing. The dedication and hard work from our volunteers made the whole event possible.
After weeks of planning for the inevitable Yorkshire rain, we suddenly found ourselves making a last minute dash to the supermarket’s freezer aisle to stock up on cold drinks and ice lollies instead! We’ve now discovered that BMX riders are capable of consuming record breaking numbers of ice lollies and still coming back for more!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event, shared the laughs, cooled us down with water gun crossfire, and helped keep spirits high throughout the day. We may have all finished a little sunburnt, but our hearts were certainly full.
Well done, Team Bradford Bandits. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

There’s a major incident M62 J20-22, some people could be delayed getting to Bradford.

Approximate gazebo plan for tomorrow - there’s plenty of space so please leave clear access next to the track, by the football posts, round the ‘new’ BC Portakabin etc.

CARDIFF NATIONAL RACE REPORT.
At a warm and windy track with some hard rollers (last on 2nd straight) everybody rode well 💯, here are some special shout outs.

Masie Dyson
Started off the weekend strong, getting into the A-final and finishing with her first 2nd place of the year! She then had a flyer on the Sunday and raced unbelievably well and ended up getting a 1st down the last straight.

Florence Dyson
Had an amazing weekend with 1st (top step)both days and ended up getting the fastest time in her category.

Tobias Groves
Started the weekend off with a strong 2nd in his final on Saturday, rode brilliant all Sunday but was boxed in down the start hill but still managed to fight his way from 8th to 5th.

Amelia Wroe
Had a great weekend with an A final 4th on Saturday and raised the bar next day with a massive 2nd on Sunday 👏🏻👏🏻

Antony LeBrasse
Had a fabulous weekend with a 5th on the Saturday and on the Sunday he found more and got 3rd as well as winning some motos.

Andy Groves
Always in the top end of his category, avoiding trouble in his semi to get 5th but Saturday got a solid A final 4th

Big Nige Smith
Double bike on a tough track and still had the legs in his final on Sunday and went 5th to 4th on the 3rd straight held out to cross the stripe with a solid 4th

Evie Dyson
In such a tough category still getting finals on the Sunday to finish her weekend at Cardiff on a high

Kylian Brown
Had a brilliant weekend by getting into a quarter both days and was a great supporter at the side of the track👍👍.I am sure he will get in the semi next time (could be the bike from Jimbob🤣🤣).

Another well done to everyone I enjoyed the weekend and from what I saw so did everybody, cant wait for the next at Derby

Bradford centre is part of a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) for commercial vehicles, and this extends to include Peel Park and our BMX track.
