Working alongside the changing seasons means no two days are ever the same... and I wouldn't have it any other way. Feeling very grateful. ππ
The children's creativity never fails to make me smileβfrom beautiful nature frames to some incredibly elaborate knots! π
Today was especially exciting as we discovered a Bird Cherry Ermine moth silk tent, complete with the moths beginning to hatch! ππ¦
We also found a Cinnabar moth caterpillar happily feeding on ragwort.
Both species rely on this one specific plant, making it a wonderful opportunity to teach the children just how important every plant is in supporting our local ecosystem. πΏπ³π
Every outdoor session is another reminder that nature is the very best classroom. πβ¨

The most uplifting Sunday spent with these incredible women. βοΈπ³πͺπͺπΉπ₯
Today we immersed ourselves in the stunning Park wood, slowing down and reconnecting with nature π
We crafted wooden mallets βοΈ, learned tool skills, created beautiful journals using natural inks π, practised archery and bow skillsπΉ, challenged ourselves with balance between the treesπ³, and even found time to relax in hammocks. π
For over two years, I've dreamed of creating a space where women can reconnect with nature, embrace the old ways, and simply be themselves without pressure or expectation. A place to slow down, be present, learn new skills, laugh, and support one another.
Today, it truly felt like that dream became a reality. π₯Ήπ€
I'm so proud of what I've created, and I can't wait to meet more amazing women and build a bad-ass tribe of strong, adventurous, supportive women who aren't afraid to get muddy, try something new, and lift each other up. π·οΈπΏπͺ
This is only the beginning. β€οΈ

π³β¨ Big things are coming! β¨π³
Today was an incredibly positive meeting at Long Lee School with the Headteacher, Deb, who has an inspiring vision for creating greener, more sustainable outdoor spaces for future generations.
Working together, Ana's Tribe and Yorgreen CIC hope to develop tree-planting and environmental projects that will benefit the wider Keighley community.
Our aim is to create a thriving green space where everyone can learn, connect and grow β from children and families to adult groups and those who may not usually have access to these opportunities.
We're also exploring plans for a smallholding with animals, creating hands-on learning experiences that will help children develop confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of animal care and welfare. πππ
This is still in the early stages, but it's exciting to see a shared vision coming together. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our community. π±π

Temperature experiment!
We ended up measuring a whole 7 degrees difference from under the trees, then to an exposed area... spoke about transpiration.... basically tree sweat π
Why are city's suffer with the heat so much? π₯΅
We simply need more green areas πππ³π³
I also walked around with my water misting device π€£π€£ we did some slowing down crafts and made some chill out areas and an iced water station ππ
And I got myself a slushy full of E numbers π
i needed a perk me up π

"Did you know? A woodland can feel up to 10Β°C cooler than built-up urban areas on hot summer days. The shade of the trees and the natural cooling effect of the woodland create a comfortable space for children to explore still and connect with nature."
Im still operating this week with my 50liters of ice water im carrying into the woods π€£πͺ
We still have air flow in Yorkshire and thankfully not as hot as down south π₯΅
I feel like the heat may give us the opportunity to slow down and observe/learn our surroundings. The children mite not want to sit and talk about the importance of trees but that is what we're doing π³π€£
