Our engine is back💪
With thanks to ACR we have a fresh camshaft & new followers, and now we're aiming to get it fitted pretty sharp-ish👀

Auxillaries are back on and the engine mounts have been strengthened. Now we just need to drop it in, connect it all up, and run the engine in carefully...✅️

Then, all being well, in 3 weeks time it'll be ready to race again at our next planned event! More details on that soon🤘

More highlights of us in action from the Isle of Man Hill rally! 🇮🇲

We still love looking back at this event! Such awesome stages, with a variety of terrain and challenging stages👌
We'd love to go back next year and get a finish!!🤞

Now though, we're eagerly waiting for our engine to be repaired so we can get back behind the wheel, and compete in a couple more events before the end of this year 👀

Enjoy the noise😍

The latest on our engine...
It's out, being repaired, and will hopefully be back with us before our next planned event🤞

Following our unfortunate retirement at the Isle of Man Hill Rally we've removed the engine, inspected it & sent it onwards to our engine builder for repair ✅️
As we thought, it was a camshaft failure, which unfortunately caused the damage to the hydraulic follower❌️
But thankfully it's all replaceable!💪

Whilst our engine gets fixed, we're taking a look at a few other possible upgrades to our Disco AND beginning to prepare for our next event in just 6 weeks time...🤞👀

Never did I think we'd be rallying our Disco around a Motocross track! 🤯
Jump on-board for SS1 of the Isle of Man Hill Rally at Knock Froy🇮🇲

It was a short technical stage to begin the rally, far from the smooth and fast stages we enjoyed on Saturday! Demonstrating the variety of terrain and stages we tackle! 💪

Nothing special in here - It was a sensible run through on the first pass, 37th quickest, before improving to 29th fastest on SS2🫡

Jump on-board through SS11 Foxdale, as we clock 97mph on the tarmac straight!!😬

It was our first pass of this stage, and was one of our favourites! A real mix of winding tarmac roads, fast gravel sections, and tough grass-fields 🇮🇲

With no pace-notes and just a map to read off, in our Modified Discovery, we managed 25th quickest and 3rd fastest in our class of 5 💪

Ignore the ticking, that's just the cam follower before we knew what it was!😬🤣

Highlights from the Isle of Man Hill rally! 🎥
The car ran sweet until it didn't!😩

Despite not getting the finish we wanted, the stages we did do were some of the best we've ever raced on! ❤️

The event had everything, from full Manx tarmac and Cat-A gravel in the forests to grass moorlands and some testing stages at Jurby race circuit! 🇮🇲

We had great pace, the Disco handled well, we got familiar with the maps quickly, and just loved being in the car again...🤘

So enjoy a short highlights reel before we post in-car footage and moments captured by Special Stage! 👀

Unfortunately our rally is over...😩
Despite working up to 22nd overall yesterday, we developed an engine knock during the afternoon loop which we investigated after finishing the day🙄

We stripped the engine late into the night, to discover a cam follower had failed ❌️
It's a component failure we dont want to risk damaging anymore, so unfortunately we had to call it...

On a positive note, we had good pace most the day, and the stages were immense! Gravel forests, full tarmac Manx stages...It was awesome!! Hence why it's even more dissappointing not to be back out there today. But, we will be back💪

DAY 1 DONE - Two clean stages with good pace✅️
After the ceremonial start on Douglas Promenade, SS1/SS2 were 1 mile stages around a MX circuit! 👀

The car performed perfectly, and we found our feet with the maps/timings again to go into the weekend 2nd in Class and 29th out of 44!💪

Now to keep it clean tomorrow...🤘
