Queensbury Cricket Club

Today’s the day, and it’s the final games of the season for our 1st and 2nd teams!

1st XI are away to Stainland CC, while the 2nd XI welcome Oakworth CC, with both games starting at 12:30pm.

Then from 2pm, we’ll be celebrating our amazing volunteers and sponsors at our Thanksgiving event, followed by our end of season celebrations with a TV & Film fancy dress theme.

A busy day at QCC! see you there! 🥳

REMINDER – TOMORROW

Our Volunteer & Sponsor Thanksgiving day is going ahead tomorrow from 2pm, whatever the weather!

Even if the cricket is called off due to the weather, the event will still go ahead.

This Saturday marks the end of an era as Nick Richardson takes to the field for his final game for the QCC 2nd XI at home.

Nick’s cricket journey with the club stretches back even further than QCC itself, having proudly represented Union Croft before the club evolved into what we know today as QCC. Since those early days, he has been a constant presence and a huge part of the club’s success, growth and identity.

His commitment, passion and dedication to the club have been unwavering. Whether on the field, in the changing room or supporting the club behind the scenes, Nick has always led by example and embodied everything that QCC stands for.

One of the most special chapters of his cricketing career has been sharing the field with his son, Jack, creating memories that will remain a treasured part of the club’s history.

While this may be Nick’s final game as a player, we know it certainly won’t be the last we see of him around the club. His support, experience and friendship will continue to be invaluable, but he will undoubtedly be missed out on the field.

We’ve reached the final reveal for our Past & Present Day teams and it’s time to introduce Pottsy’s Panthers!

Captained by Brett Marriott, the Panthers are ready to take to the field and round off our four team line-up in style.

After weeks of anticipation, the teams are now complete and we’re all set for what promises to be a brilliant day of cricket, memories, competition and plenty of laughs.
