Bradford Ice Skating Club welcomes participants who have passed Skate UK Level 5 to develop skills.

Halloween Show Camp 08/09/2026

For our Halloween Showcamp on 31st October, we also want to get a rough idea of expressions of interest and current skate levels to support planning.

Leah will lead the camp, which will take place between 3- 7 pm on Saturday 31st October.

Skaters will learn choreography skills and put together a number to perform at the end of the camp.

Please click the link below and select your current skating level.

Entry forms for the SSJ, taking place on Saturday, 10th October, 4-7 pm, will go live by Friday PM.

Skaters who have passed Skate UK 5 through to N8 can enter.

Please discuss with your coach to confirm which category you should be entering.

We will also be including the option for skaters to run their programmes with a Simulation Skate.

SSJ entries will have priority, followed by priority for simulation skates for BISC Club Members.

Skaters can choose to do both the SSJ and the Simulation Skate, or can choose one option.

Simulation skate places will be confirmed after the closing date on the 25th September.

Membership Form - Bradford Ice Skating Club 26/27 01/09/2026

As we begin the new club year, which starts today, 1st September, all members are required to complete an up-to-date membership form so we have the most up to date contact, levels and medical information for members safety.

This is required, even if you are on a monthly rolling membership.

For our Associate members, the cost for this is £50, and this gives you access to the ice x4 per year, and membership rates on club activities such as masterclasses and camps.

Our monthly membership will continue to remain at the same price of £20 per month (or £220 if paid in full before the end of September), which represents fantastic value.

The updated form can be found here: https://forms.gle/gmjcAxrqBkereXfP9

In terms of upcoming events

- Saturday 10th October - SSJ (subject to securing judges)
- Thursday 29th October (club session - Halloween Games on Ice
- Saturday 31st October - Halloween Show/Performance Skills Camp with Leah
- Saturday 21st November - Technical Performance Camp with Karen

All Saturday sessions run between 4 - 7pm with the exception of camps, which will have off-ice at least prior. The 21st November session we also have a guest coach coming in to deliver a post off-ice session focusing on injury prevention. Therefore, this camp will finish around 8pm.

We will also soon be announcing our Masterclass sessions, which take place on club nights in the next few weeks.

Our AGM will also be announced soon, and we invite members/parents/guardians to come along to this / consider joining the committee to help shape the club into an organisation that delivers ongoing value and opportunities to Bradford skaters.

Many thanks

We have been made aware of a scam occurring within the ice skating environment involving children/young people being contacted via TikTok.

The individual has told the young person that they think they know them from “the rink” and then asks them to send a photograph to confirm that they are the person they think they know.

The scammer then uses AI to create a fake naked/explicit image of the child/young person. They subsequently threaten to distribute the image to their contacts unless money is paid.

The police are aware of these incidents. This is a national scam and is not specific to any particular club or rink.

Please remind all young people about the risks of social media and, in particular:

➡️ Do not send photographs to people you don’t know, even if they claim to know you from the rink/club.
➡️ Do not accept friend/follow requests from people you don’t recognise.
➡️ Never send intimate or compromising images.
➡️ If someone threatens or blackmails you, do not pay them and do not engage further.
➡️ Tell a trusted adult immediately and report the account to TikTok and the police.

BIS will continue to look into this matter to protect the people on our sport.

If you require any support or have any enquiries please feel to contact [email protected]

Thank you for helping us keep our young people safe.
