Valley rues missed opportunities.
Valley started the game the better of the two sides dominating possession but struggling to create many clear cut chances. Despite this it was the visitors who took the lead through a free kick crossed in and put into the back of the net.
Valley responded well after Zach Roberts crossed from the byline to Josh McCluskey who took his opportunity and put the game level.
The visitors then took a 2 goal lead shortly after, the first was a penalty after a poor mistake from the back 3 which saw the striker get taken down in a panic and the other a screamer from about 30 yards which nestled into the top corner leaving the goalkeeper helpless.
With only a few minutes remaining in the first half Josh McCluskey pounced on the goalkeepers loose touch forcing the goalkeeper to bring him down and give away a penalty which was skied over the crossbar.
As the second half started it was Valley who were on the front foot and pushing for a second which came through an excellent half volley from Cian Cryer to make it 3-2.
Despite creating opportunities and a penalty shout which left both teams bewildered to not be given, Valley couldn’t find the finishing touch.
In the final minute of the game Cian excellently beat his man to get to the byline and played the ball across goal for assistant coach Tommy to put into the back of the net and level proceedings.

Hellifield 2 - 5 Worth valley
Football is Back! After a long and difficult pre season the Valley had to head over to Hellifield to kick off the season. The team was disrupted with a few players on holiday and left the management with a system change.
The game itself started off with Hellifield on top before Henry Booth spooned a cross in to the top bin just after the 10 minute mark. Not long after that the games first change came into play as Harry O’Niell picked up a knock and had to come off.
Replacing H was Rhoan Cooper to provide energy and width to the valley attack. Although a mix up from Fergus and Nathan Ayrey seen Hellifield break down their right and side and finished off by the no.9 for 1-1.
Valley then took control and Joe Hanson got on the scoresheet after a neat 1-2 with Joel Oxford. 2 goals then quickly turned into 3 with Rhoan Cooper winning the ball high up the pitch to square it to Riley Whitaker for 3-1
Second half came it was controlled by Valley throughout with Ben White heading home at near post for 4-1 and Tjay Wilson wrapping up the game in the dying embers.
All in all, a good performance from the boys 3 points on the board. Onto Crosshills at Home on Thursday evening UTV🇪🇪
