Brackley & District Bowling Club

We should be grateful our green doesn’t look like this one. It’s been a tough year for Greens and Green Keepers!

On Sunday 28 June Brackley and District Bowls Club were delighted to welcome representatives from local organisations and the Deputy Mayor Kate Nash and her consort Justin to officially open the new car parking areas which were funded by a grant from HS2. It was a great day which paid reference to the clubs history, described its current situation and desire to encourage more community interaction and looked forward to its future plans. It was a fabulous afternoon of celebration, recognition and enthusiasm for the future.

Last Saturday we enjoyed a fantastic friendly game against Buckingham West End Bowls Club. It was especially great to see two of our juniors taking part in the club match, joining in alongside our members and gaining valuable experience.

Both played incredibly well, and we are delighted to see how much they have progressed. Their confidence and skills continue to grow, and they did themselves and the club proud. Well done to everyone involved! 👏

It was great to see so many people turn out today on a very hot day to try out Bowls. Also a fantastic turn out from our members to support our Open Day, it was hot and tiring but they did it all with smiles, making people feel welcome and able to enjoy themselves.
Also fab to see some children come along and show an interest in our Junior Academy.

We are a friendly club with an active Social Side along side the bowls.

Bring the family, all welcome, we have a Junior and Adult Section.
Plenty of seating areas.

Tea, Coffee, Biscuits provided and our Honesty Bar will be open.

Flat shoes are kinder to our Bowling Green!

The weather is set to be hot and sunny. We have lots of shady areas to sit but remember your hats, sun glasses, sun protection cream and water. 🧢🕶️🧴💧

First Competitive Match for our Junior Academy.

A fantastic day on Saturday for the junior section at Brackley & District Bowling Club as we welcomed the Banbury juniors for our very first game against another club 🎉

All of the juniors played brilliantly and did the club proud with their enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was also wonderful to see so many supporters there cheering them on, along with several club members who came along to encourage the next generation of bowlers.

A great experience for everyone involved and so positive to see young people taking up and enjoying the sport. Well done to all of our juniors 👏💚
