Boxford Rovers FC Boxford Rovers Football Club Boxford Rovers Football Club was founded in 1977 and disbanded its adult section in 2015.

There is a project underway to revitalise and restart the club for the 2022/23 with aspirations to play in the Border League. The club is sadly now located in Nayland due to lack of appropriate facilities at Boxford Homefields.

Boxford worked hard and toiled but didn't get the run of the ball against a battling West Bergholt. The league leaders exploited Rovers' inability to defend deep crosses for the first and the other two goals were through balls which, on another day, Boxford would have defended better against. However, it was a better all round performance from the Homefielders and we push on. MOTM was Alfie Haygreen.

Due to Homefields being used for a cricket match, Boxford Rovers are playing their next league game at CORNARD UNITED'S ground at Blackhouse Lane. The bar will be open, the food kiosk too and... well.... it's rainproof in some areas. Come and see us?

The Homefielders suffered another frustrating loss at the hands of a former Mid Essex League team. The boys had the stronger first 25 mins but Mayland scored against the run of play and then seemed to take heart from their lead.
Boxford has chances from Noah Meuser and Thom Chance but fortune wasn't on their side. Rovers will take some positives from a much better performance and particularly the back line - with Luke Mallinson (MoTM), Bob Addison and skipper Ben Tatum all having strong games. But Rovers will need to turn this around ahead of their home game (played at Cornard Utd FC) against West Bergholt on Saturday. We move on.

After the indignity of Boxford's equal worst ever Border League loss, and an hour plus drive to boot, the Homefielders travel to Mayland to try to patch things up and put things right. Boxford gave a strong sixteen man squad and have learned some important lessons. Let's get behind the boys!

It's a video nasty for the Homefielders on their furthest away trip to Emerson and Upminster. There are no excuses - Boxford had a strong team and were well set up and yet a series of catastrophic mistakes and all round poor performance cost them dearly. There were precious few bright sparks, but Freddie Bagrie had a solid game in the centre of the park and Jack Allen played well. One to forget....Very very quickly. Yuk

They say Boxford always go the extra mile for football. And in this case, it's the London Borough of Havering and Upminster. Now, before we scare too many people off... it's actually only an hour away and we'd love to see a few Suffolk faces. It's a 3pm kick off and the lads are already buzzing for the journey.
